What a nuisance about not having a local freecycle - can you not get on at the powers that be and ask them to set one up?
Apple brandy sounds good though - I have got some blackberry vodka doing nicely in my cupboard for ChristmasSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
I'd be afraid that they'd ask me to run it.
I can't imagine the confusion a techno-phobe like me could cause if I was running s'thing like that
I'm umming and ahhing about posting a wanted on the site. It seems full of such worthy people who are getting things for charitable projects or are in real need. Seems selfish to ask for a breadmaker cos I'm tight.....0 -
Never thought of using windfall and freebie berries like that.... cor, again..... just had a thought during my first piece of work..... I'd let my amazon listings slip, when I get back from trip on Sunday, I'm going to list everything I can, new stuff too, including work related books I haven't looked at for 15 years, no reason for them to be cluttering up my space. That will do for now, since I've missed the blackberries (still some apples on my self-sown tree that haven't fallen, tho)....:rotfl:2023: the year I get to buy a car0

OK OK OK!! It's done!!
One hour of housework done, still a long way to go! Just having a coffee and a bit of a catch up on here - will start working again at 10.30 latest!
KC, if you want a travel buddy for satsuma picking...........:D
Can I come too? I'll bring the campervan I was going to buy to run away in!0 -
Right, Karmacat, hypno and chocaholic are off - a campervan is exactly what I was thinking of, and how DFW to have 3 in a campervan. Yay!2023: the year I get to buy a car0

It seems soooo tempting, doesn't it!! Can we afford the petrol though
Today I have done 4 loads of washing........2 on the line, 1 on the airer and 1 on the rads! No more room for wet washing unless I use the drier. I have one load in the machine now so that will prob be it for the day - I can't see how to get any more dry!!
My house looks a little tidier than it did this morning but not fab.....hmm, need an injection of energy and/or enthusiasm if anyone has any spare??
Off to Pania's for coffee at 2ish and out for dinner with my Mum tonight - thai food, my fave! Mum's paying, so just the petrol money to find
October is seeming to be a long month - still another week until OH payday. I will start working on November's spreadsheet I think - might as well get prepared.........Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. Well done!
I have now moved the airers to infront of the radiators - if the heatings going to be on, might as well make the most of it! Another load is out drying on the line. It's strange, I brought out a couple of DD's old tops that will now fit William and they are in FAB condition - I realised that the tumble drier really wears the clothes out more quickly than line/airer/radiator drying. Hmm......
Needing motivation here too- not done much at all.

Well done with the washing hypno (and sea) We put our airer by the window/radiator and it always dries pretty quickly, either by sun through the window or the radiator heat. Living in a 3 storey house helps too as we've got banisters on the 1st and 2nd floor landings so thats where bath towels and sheets normally end up if there's already washing on the airer.
Just done a phone mystery shop and got another one lined up for tonight, this one was so easy so I'm pleased as I've not been doing too well with my 'making extra money' things at the moment - need to get myself motivated and all these stories of ebay are great. I'm away for a few days this weekend so no ebaying for me just yet - will try and sort some things out to put on when we get back though - might get them in turbolister if I'm lucky!
Hope you've had a good natter and put the world to rights with Pania, better get on with my photocopying (oh the joys of working!) - seems like a long month here too.Initial Mortgage January 2024 - £160,000

Long month here too - perhaps we *can't* afford the petrol this month? Lets face it, the mileage must be pretty low.
Hope you're enjoying your cuppa with Pania - I'm trying to put some smileys in, but they don't want to play today.... ah well, :rotfl:2023: the year I get to buy a car0
