Hypno, your thread reminds me of the programme "Cheers" where everyone knows they can pop in for a chat and drink and know they are amongst friends.

Ooh, forgot to mention some DFW stuff (doh, I knew I was here for a reason!!)

When I went to the chemist to collect DDs prescription, I had a look at their Christmas gift stuff - they have loads of cheap but really fab smellies - body scrubs, scented candles etc. some of them are in sets, but they are easily dismantled and ideal for putting into home made hampers for Christmas pressies.

I spent about £6 on various sets, but actually got quite a bit, once I had separated the stuff out and allocated it to my hampers!

So, if you have a local chemist nearby (co-op, I think ours is) go and have a look at their stuff - much cheaper than boots, and obviously a different range!

    Right DFW bit over!!

P, have you been taking photos of Bernard Matthews turkeys again!!!!

    ok, anyone fancy a giggle??

Halifax bounced a DD earlier this month as I had £89.59 available in my bills account when DD amount was £90... shortfall 41p.

    Charged me £39

Just checked online banking, they have taken charges out putting me £38.97 OVER my overdraft limit!!!! talk about double standards!!! I don't bloomin THINK so!!! we'll be having an argument over that one then!!!!

Thanks for the tip about the chemist - I looked in my local (lloyds) when in there the other day, but the packs weren't that good. Will have to have a snoop around some other ones I think :)

When you starting your Ebay challenge? I have a drawer of laymobil stuff to sort and arrange for photographing and also a polly pocket thingy to attempt to put together to sell - but I might just take a photo and be glad for 99p actually! :) Will be scouring the house tomorrow for more stuff. My Paypal account has never been so low and I'm going to need the extra money for christmas buys from Ebay lol!

That is just ridiculous - most banks have at least a £2 buffer zone before they charge you.

Halifax are one of the worst - but it did mean I got £3000 back in bank charges at the end of last year - they paid up pretty quickly.

Don't ya just love banks P!

Hypno - I used to work in a chemists that sold all that sort of stuff, some great bargains, although after filling shelves with it all over and over for two months I was a bit sick of the sight of it :D I'm still on my 'spend as little as poss on Christmas' challenge - got two pressies so far and they both came from vouchers earned on surveys.

Sea, I will be starting my ebay listing on Sunday I think - I have got quite a busy weekend, but I am working on Monday, so if I don't get something listed over the weekend, it will be midweek!!
