The towel in the tumbler thing really works.
Mine is in the cellar so have to negociate all the junk to get to it which helps
Thank you for Friday-coming back from a weekend away to a clean and surfaces clear kitchen was a joy. Even my 16 year old commented so you can imagine how bad it was !!
My girlie weekend away was loads of fun-still not sure where all the money went-especially as budgeted rail fares didn't happen as I got a lift b ut had a FAB time-two concerts and big get together and a lot of friends. I'll console myself with the thought the next trip won 't be so expensive as I'll be staying with friends from this weekend instead of at hotels so theoreically it'll be cheaper ! Only downer was visi ting my Mum's grave for the first time since she died -either I got the wrong plot number or my brother was a tad too MSE and didn't buy the gravestone as arranged !!!I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
MSE Florida wedding .....no problem0 -

Morning all! Slept well, so hopefully have enough energy to work today! The cold is reducing I think but my voice is lacking somewhat as a result. Oh well, I am getting there.
Duchy - sorry to read that there was a bit of a problem with your Mum's grave x Hope that it didn't put too much of a downer on your otherwise excellent sounding weekend!
So, today I am working at the Uni, but normally I buy a jacket spud when I am there, so today I will take some soup. Dinner tonight will be a spag bol, so must remember to get the mince out of the freezer.

Good Morning, hypno. I'm so glad you had a refreshing night's sleep, and also that your cold is disappearing.
I recall you mentioning using a dishwasher and wonder whether they are electricity-guzzlers. SIL has one and it seems to be going for hours before the cycle is finished!
I totally understand your reasons for keeping on the children's karate. You mentioned all their other payable things you've already cancelled and it's only fair to them to let them do the things they are so talented in. I know you and your DH are working flat out to clear your debt and 'find' money wherever you can but you also seem to be making a superhuman effort to make sure your children still have a wonderful childhood. The opportunities they are enjoying now will probably never come their way again so here's to you  for letting them take full advantage of them.
Have a great week health, wealth and happiness-wise

Hiya
Yep, good vibes from me too, glad things are looking up slightly. Hope it all carries on going well today.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Morning! Just thought I'd say thanks for indirectly making me think about my washing machine this morning!!! Was about to put the usual 40+prewash+extra wash+extra rinse that I always use, but something sprung to mind about all the things people were saying about electricity, so I went for the 30 standard wash instead. Will probably take about half the time an use half the power. And use less water & powder!
So if only one good thing comes out of your SOA (and I'm sure there will be loads more!), it's the fact that my laundry might cost less!!!0
