My washing is still on the line too.... often seems to stay out 24 hours or more.
El, Sorry to hear that the trouble with your son has revved up again elantan. That must be horrible. I hope the laundry is consoling anyway.
I'm going to do a bit more tidying in the morning. It's just pathetic that i can't keep the house organised. I need to buy some kind of storage as we really don't have anywhere to put most of the stuff that is piled on every surface. Oh sorry I'll stop the housework chat as it's evening now and you should be enjoying a well earned rest after your labours.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -

Oh gosh I forgot you had plans for this evening! Aren't you meant to be sipping champagne and slipping between the sheets with OH? What are you doing on here, girl?!?
I'm sure you're in for a better evening than Hypno's student who is probably past seeing any action not involving a bucket.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -

Oh no that's a real shame - can't you light the candles, eat the cake, get into the bath and see if you can't recreate the mood?Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620

Morning all!
El, I am sorry your lovely evening did not go at planned. Kids, hey!
Seaxwyn, you are not pathetic at being unable to keep house. When you are as busy as we are, with busy families etc, it is difficult, and with fitting in self employment, procrastination, worries about money etc, it is even more difficult. I do know what you mean though. I feel that I should be ABLE to keep on top of my housework - I mean, it is not exactly rocket science is it! But even flylady defeats me most times.....I just don't HAVE that extra hour a day. Well I do, but it gets used up on something else!
Not pathetic, just not organised.......get reading your book
Well, today I am taking DS to ski slope this morning and then start work in the bar at 1. There is an evening function on so I will be working until late in the evening.
OH is at work in his second job (again) and the student is fast asleep, which is where she will be for most of the day I think!
I hope you all have a good day xxSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Hey Hypno glad to hear that yesterday was a success! I hope the student didn't need the bucket in the end... Have a good day and try not to wear yourself out chick xMFW

Good grief! I am in awe of the housework challenge - also jealous, since I work in London every Friday, and won't be able to join in next week. I can't believe how much you all did.... while I was on the train coming down from Liverpool (and I fell asleep on the train!) and lolling about meeting a friend in London... am definitely energized to start getting my life back in order. I spend far too much time on the computer just playing freecell and spider solitaire, I really have to get my act together. Haven't finished unpacking yet, so thats the first thing I'll do. Uh, when I've done a bit more catching up on here. :rotfl:
Lol and ahhhh! for the student, hypno. I remember *so* well. My mum and dad never confronted me on the days I spent recovering from hangovers as a young teenager, it made life a lot easier. :eek:2023: the year I get to buy a car0
