Thanks El, it sounds impressive but most of them were fairly quick and easy jobs - I've still got a way to go to get back on top of the housework properly. But it's a good start at least. And remember I don't have to fit it all in around working at the moment.
Well done to everyone who has managed to get some jobs done today! :T"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
Blimey Snaggles - that is a pretty impressive list, regardless of whether it is small jobs or not!!
Love the idea of "parent survival" courses - do they do them for stressed out parents of 12 and 13 year olds??
did I read on another thread that you are coming down with a cold? I hope you are not feeling as miserable as I have been!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
The parent survival course is great actually, we've been referred onto it by the CAMHS team who are doing Ryan's autism assessments. It's basically for parents of 'challenging' children - so that can be anything from children with learning difficulties or disabilities through to parents that have just lost control of their kids and need a bit of help getting back on the rails.
A lot of it is common sense, and we have already tried it, but there are one or two things we've picked up that have helped, and they give you a book called 'The Incredible Years' which is fantastic.
And yes, I've been feeling a bit rough, although the large chinese and the medicinal whiskey and hot lemon are helping ease the pain.....:D:D"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
I hope you soon feel much better.
I think I will be getting an early night in. DD has gone to guide camp, the student is at a party and OH is working........that means I can go get a hot water bottle and snuggle up under the duvet without worrying about anyone except DS who has already gone to bed!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Thank you
The early night with a hot water bottle sounds like a good idea.....sadly Natasha has picked tonight of all nights to show me that she is a normal baby after all and has temper tantrums and refuses to go to sleep just like all the other babies do...lol!
How can I begrudge it when she's a little angel 99% of the time though? :A"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
now if you were os you would have one of those wheat bag thingies lol ...am i taking this a bit too far0

DD has the wheat bags, but they smell too much like oat cookies to me, and I end up feeling hungry!!
Don't want to end up having midnight fridge raiding sessions!!
Snaggles - perhaps Natasha is practising for her teenage years!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
