The fabric "protectors" that you put over the back of your armchairs and sofas and on the arms of the chairs to keep the chairs clean underneath!

    Sometimes with lace edging........

Hello everyone. I'm feeling pretty rubbish because I didn't manage to clean my house. The tiny improvement I achieved has been obliterated since the kids got home. Please can I move in with you Elantan, your house must be sparkling now.

I'm not spending Friday night listing books on Amazon. And I just sold one for £22 (sorry, had to have a little boast there)

Hypno congratulations on the 5000 posts and I look forward to reading the next 5000. I reckon I'll be on a million posts before I get debt-free.

Well, with the amount of debt I still have to plough through, coupled with my lust for chocolate and skiing, I will be here for several more years.

What would be to happen if the banks stopped lending willy nilly due to the credit crunch, and so no one could get new unaffordable credit.......in a few years time, there might only be half a dozen of us old timers left :rotfl:

By that time, the kids will have left home and the houses would be tidy!!

Talking of which, the student has gone to a party, and I have just had a phone call from someone else at the party saying could someone collect her because "she is rather ill"......

Have sent OH armed with a bucket........

Yuck!! Good luck to OH dealing with a 'rather ill' teenager. That is something I am NOT looking forward to.

I suppose we have all been there done that as far as the teenage drinking is concerned, so I can't be too cross with her, just need to make sure she drinks plenty of water through the night. At least someone was able to phone us....in days gone by, you would have just been left up a corner, to have the coats piled up on you!!

Right, better go and do my Stern Host Mother look.....for at least 10 seconds!!

My washing is still out on the line.......it started drizzling almost as soon as I had hung it out......then I forgot about it!

Hopefully it will dry tomorrow, but I expect there will be underwear full of cobwebs!!
