I've been doing some research, can you tell I'm bored at work? Also I really hope you live in Norfolk or the links are all going to be pretty pointless!:rotfl:

    Try here and here

This one looks really good as well - lots and lots of options under the Funding section.

I've posted a message to my guiding Yahoo group asking about a website with loads of handy little charities and organisations that give out grants - I know it exists, I've seen people on there talking about it, I just can't find the flipping site! If anyone can remember it then I'll post it on here for you :)

Fantastic, Thank you! I already knew about the South norfolk one - they start applications on 1st October, so good timing there. If I have to pay an extortionate amount of council tax to them I would hope to get something back!!

The others I will trawl through over the next couple of days - need to get relevant paragraphs written - "why do I think we deserve this money" type things. Some need the children to write their own, so they need to get their thinking caps on too!

Thanks again - you are a star!!

right, quick finish coffee and go to see client......catch you later x

Well, the money making ideas are working....slowly but surely.

I have managed to arrange that we do not pay for karate while the children are away - might sound obvious but we pay £61 a month by bank transfer (bit like gym membership) so if you don't use it, tough! Anyway, to be able to cancel for the months they are away is very useful indeed.

I have also approached someone on ebay who bought my empty printer cartridges a couple of times and asked if they would pay for cartridges if the children collect them. The answer is yes, and I have a list of specific cartridges and the price they will pay for them! So the children now have to make posters, leaflets, collection points etc etc for empty cartridges to raise funds!

OK, so we are getting there :j inch by inch but we are getting there :j

i have 3 empty cartridges right here. 2 x hewlett packard and a lexmark M10.
    All yours,
Brilliant new on the savings from karate, that'll bolster it a little. think you should have a quiz night with wine and cheese evening at the ski club, would be a giggle. divide the money between the kids that are going. £10 per team of 4, a raffle and £2 per glass of wine and plate of cheese and biscuits. Throw in a couple of games in between rounds you'd make a fortune!! Bagsy quizmaster!!
debt @05/11/11 £12210.63!! slowly chipping away!!

    Thanks P :j

The only problem with you being quizmaster is that you can't be on my team then?
