Evening Hypno(and all)
Wow...you have been a busy girl!!!!...all that housework in one morning...well done and how nice of you to sort her out with stationary...that's really kind of you...
You've been really productive today!!!!....0 -
Glad to hear the student has arrived, sounds like you've had a busy day. It's been cleaning, tidying and sorting galore in the YL household too today I can now sit at my computer and type without fearing a whole pile of paper falling on the floor

I love the idea of having a visiting student staying with us for a year....do you think they would mind sleeping in a shed?
We've had to do a last minute school-stuff dash today as well, when we realised Ryan has had yet another growth spurt (he's 6, and comes up to my collarbone!) and has outgrown everything, including a pair of trousers I bought him at the start of the holidays!
Thank goodness we don't have to buy stationery and books yet!
Well done on such a productive day, and well done on being sub-£42k. :T :T
Edit - oooh, that rhymes...lol!"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
Thanks guys!
ATB, I would so so love to have those Egg cards gone by Christmas - however, if I can get below £40k total, by then I think that may have to suffice, although I will try my damndest to be closer to that longed for £35,000!!
Hopefully I have made another £10 cashback tonight, although not yet tracked, so I will keep an eye on it over the next day or so. I have also put a couple of bits on ebay, one that I relisted after it didn't sell last time. Reduced the starting price from £9.99 to £4.99 and within an hour it had its first bid, so hopeful that it may go for a little more, but even £4.99 will help.
Tomorrow sees the start of my new job - only one day a week, and in a role that I think I will find quite easy, but I am still nervous!! The money is going straight into a separate account to pay for the childrens skiing, so that I do not have to worry so much about the cost of it all, so at least I will have something to show for the little pay that I will be getting!
Snaggles, if it were possible to have students sleep in the shed, I would do so - for another £120 a week, I would go and sleep in the shed myselfSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. Good luck with the job tomorrow. You're bound to be nervous at first but I hope you find your feet quickly and enjoy it.
Well done for getting under 42k! And well done to the kids for winning the ski poles.
We had a lovely holiday. Really relaxing and refreshing. Now back to reality and we face a tough month when I can't see how we'll manage to meet our outgoings. I hope the positive vibe from the holiday will continue and I know we'll pull through somehow.
By the way I've lost your cheese straws recipe - could you post it again? We're doing a storecupboard challenge and I have no eggs in so no way of making cakes for the lunchboxes.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -
Hi Sea,
Glad to hear you had a fab time on holiday, goodness knows you deserved it!
Not sure of the exact quantities but think the recepie went a little like...
3oz flour, 1oz butter, pinch of salt and mustard powder, Rub all together, add full flavour/ mature cheese and a little water until you have a dough, divide into straws and bake at (i think it was) 200c for 10 mins?
Hope this sounds kind of right?
Hypno, thats really kind of you to buy student some stationary, most people would leave them to find it themselves! but I have to say, school on a sunday!!!!!!! eep!debt @05/11/11 £12210.63!! slowly chipping away!!:heart2:impossible is nothing.:heart2:0 -

Hello Hypno, Sea, Pania, Taxi & etc.
I'm back, I've been to OH's new country to choose him a house, and get things sorted for when he abandons me in Octoberfor 2 years. He's so excited he's talking of three.....
I hope that explains the disastrous figures for August, hopefully we'll get some/all of that back.
it's taken some time, and I don't think I've entirely caught up with all the news. I think with a student and all your Quidco-ing you are racing ahead -Well Done You. So I've got to get my !!! moving to catch up but:
-I have SS's instructions and will do that this week.
-Can't flippin put anything on ebay as the camera isn't working and DS1 isn't back until next week.
- Have set myself a challenge, housekeeping when it's just me is going to be financed from selling stuff, booting, Amazon & ebay (eventually). So by Christmas I should have lost some weight too.:o
Therefore the challenges in my signature WILL still stand.....and at least I'm going in the right direction.0 -
Blimey, I had forgotten the organisation needed to get up and out for work!!
Obviously I will not be on MSE all day - how will I manage!! Will be on later tonight though
Hope you all have a good day xxSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
