Sounds like a good day all round! cinema for a £1! tell me more:T
got lots of driving to do today but is a lovely day so i can enjoy it with a good CD in the car, off to soham then down to ipswich!!! Lots of lovely mileage to start the new mileage month on :j and hopefully a couple of healthy appointments to! Have managed to buy myself a little time this morning as was meant to be going to peterborough also but have knocked this on the head for another day (preferably post pay day when i can afford petrol again!:rotfl: )
Bless poor OH for having to work yesterday and missing out on the collective dressing gown day. hope he makes the most of the catch up! Hope physio goes well, let us know and if you're around tomorrow pop over for a cuppa.debt @05/11/11 £12210.63!! slowly chipping away!!:heart2:impossible is nothing.:heart2:0 -
The cinema for a £1 is a kids club thing - think you would need to put your school uniform on to get in, P :rotfl:
I have just registered for Lovefilm's free trial on pigsback - 1250 extra points so can't be bad - just need to remember to cancel before the freebie runs out. Thought it would be a good idea for the remainder of the school holidays though - more for nothing, can't be bad!
After all the matched betting of the weekend, the post brought me another free £10 bet, totally unexpected so all very good news! Also, my tax credits seem to be going up by about £10 a month from October until April, then down by half for 2008/9!!! Not sure how they have worked that out, but I will take the increase for the rest of this year then give them a call in April! Tax credits really are in a little world of their own I think!!
Hope you have a successful day, P - will you be singing along with your windows wound downSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Tax credits are definitely in a world of their own.
My favourite moment was when they refunded me £750 underpayment and in the same envelope informed me I'd been over paid and they'd be deducting £8 a week. Needless to say I didn't bother asking them to explain the logic and treated it as an interest free loanThey seem to have paid me today (two days early)-not sure if this is another mystery payment or what....will see if the usual payment goes in on Wednesday before getting too excited-though I've used part of it for a hotel payment for my upcoming trip to the US (frequent flyer miles and priceline-it's an MSE trip-honest
) already. Apart from that I'm having a NSD honest.
The rest of the day is fence fixing to stop next door's Stafford Bull Terrier from invading and trying to find the lawn under the long grass. Might kill some of the nicotine pangs too.
Hope the physio goes wellI Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

Hi duchy - good luck with the fence reinforcements and the lawn discovery.
I am currently going for the "nature's wildlife garden" look. Long grass and weeds are a necessity :rolleyes:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Mmm I'm sure it's more ecologically sound to keep the garden as a nature reserve but the grass is now higher than jeans when I hang out the washingI Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

Ooh, Duchy, somebody with the same problems as I have with the length of the grass! :rotfl: I have a lot of garden (nearly all weeds) but only one patch of grass - I actually clip it now and again with shears, I have a strimmer but its not worth setting it up for just that little bit.
Slow day today otherwise - I think I might have to have a snooze in a bit, catch up on some zzzzzs, otherwise lots of admin - odd, isn't it, if we don't have money, how on earth is there so much admin to life? One of The Great Mysteries Of Existence. :rotfl:2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Sadly mine is all grass-about 100 foot of it anyway (lengthwise not heightwise ..........yet !)
Sun is shining in Kent and I've just rung up about a job (am currently on sick leave with stress-shame nice job but lunatic boss) which sounds promising. Time to tear myself away from MSE and into the garden. Enjoy your snooze.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

Too long grass? You folks are lucky! We have the opposite problem. Hungry guinea-pigs and heavy footfall means our 'lawn' is just bare mud. We haven't needed to use a mower since.... er.... before we got the guinea-pigs, anyway.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620
