Well, I am having a really nice day today.

the children and OH are in the lounge watching DVDs and stuff and I have been in the kitchen.

I have baked 3 batches of muffins - carrot and coconut, poppy seed and sour cream and blackberry (using the free fruit from the hedgerows we picked at the weekend). All are very yummy, have passed the quality control test, and lots have been bagged up for the freezer for packed lunches next term.

Currently I am venturing into pastures new, by making jam  It is plum jam (well hopefully it will be in due course!).....How OS am I becoming :j

Tried to do Tesco online shopping today, well I DID do it but none of the voucher codes worked today so no free delivery and nothing off my shopping Oh well, it still saves me going to the supermarket and buying unnecessary stuff!

Right, best get on.....hope you are all having a good day xx

    Hi hypno
What a lovely day you're having! Another quiet one for me, but if you get those gluten free recipes, I'd love to have 'em.

Storm - Charles and Emily are the woodlice, yes - I may have been exaggerating a tiny wee bit about naming them [hangs head in shame] - but I *do* recognise different ones, some have 2 rows of grey marks down their backs, and there are families, little tiny ones with great big massive ones, they cluster under the wheelie bin for some reason, and run away every time its moved. I'm the sort of nut that stops on the pavement and picks up a worm to get it to safety......

I am so intrigued by Karmacat's tales of the wildlife here.....it could become like a mini soap opera for me! :D

I wonder how Norwich got on. Such a bargain night out though at the footie and exactly the sort of evening out that younger lads enjoy eh?
    For a quid!

    Just most excellent hypno!

Back from the footy, hoarse from the cheering and shouting!!

Bargain - value for money when only paying £1 for kids - we won 5-2 :j

So price per goal......urm.....not much, about 12p a goal or something daft!! Can't be bad!

The jam I made has also come out well and the muffins, well, I have to keep tasting them to check they haven't gone off ;)

Hope everyone, woodlice included, has had a good day. I'm off to the land of nod now, so catch up with you all tomorrow x

I get really stubborn about Tescos and refuse to check out til I've found a code that works-took ages today rummaging around the posts but ended up with two that worked so one is stored for the next shop.
Hoping for a dryer day tomorrow as I need more blackberries-my son scoffed the lot when I wasn't looking.
Glad you got value for money from the footie and if you need a taste tester for the muffins-let me know.

Morning all, another day of iffy weather, and i have to say not a lot planned.

We have ordered a new mattress for the student's bedroom as the one there is likely to result in a chiropractor being needed!! The old one has done the best part of 20 years so is about time for a change. But we have to wait in for argos to deliver it so couldn't make many plans.

I have a mystery shop booked, but as it is an outdoor one, I have provisionally moved it to tomorrow because the weather is supposed to be better but we will play that by ear, may go today, may go tomorrow!!

DD is at a sleepover so will be tired and grumpy today through lack of sleep! I think today may be a day for visiting the library, or watching more dvds!!

I have a couple of paid surveys queued up to do, so will do those, and a couple of matched betting bits to do, so that will keep me quiet for a while, once I have actually woken up that is!!
