Hi hypno! :hello:
Been away for the weekend on the sunny south coast so catching up now.
I had to smile at your last post - I hate it when people come to our front door as it's tidy but the decor is rubbish and the flooring desperately needs re-doing.....so I stand there trying to block their view. I must look so anti social!Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.

Hi LA, have you had a good weekend away?
I am trying to stay awake to see the meteor shower tonight, but I think I will have to leave that to OH and let him just tell me about it in the morning!!
Goodness, it is only half past 9 and already I am talking about getting to sleep.....better go and find some slippers and horlicks, making sure i don't fall over the zimmer frame on the way!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Hi there....yes I had a good weekend, thank you! But as usual the London Underground always throws a spanner in the works doesn't it?
Engineering works on the Victoria Line meant it took and hour each way to get from King's Cross to Victoria via another (Very busy) route/I missed one train down to the South Coast and had to wait for the next one/had to make sure I got back earlier than planned to allow for the trip back over to King's X etc etc etc
.
However it was still lovely to see my friend and I had a very nice time once I got there - lunch was salty & vinegar-y chips on the beach!Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.

Worth the journey just for the chips!!
Seaside chips really are the best....must be the extra salt.
I am even thinking of taking the children to the coast this week, just to buy chips of Yarmouth Market again!! I had SO forgotten how good they are. Now I just want more!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Cor I haven't been to Yarmouth for nearly two decades!
I remember I went when I got my first car and a load of us went en masse , convoy style!
We ended up staying at some dodgy hotel and went to a dodgy nightclub that I can't remember the name of. Had a good time though if I recall correctly! :rotfl:Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.

Most of Yarmouth is still as dodgy as ever!! I have served my time there by going to school and college there, couple of saturday and summer jobs etc.
But, I survived!!! There is hope for everyone!!
(but I do miss the chips!)

morning P! A busy day planned today - DD is going to the cinema on the bus with a friend this morning (if she ever gets herself out of the shower!) to see a film in the early showing for £1. Bargain.
DS is going to a cricket thing at the school this afternoon for a couple of hours - keeps him out of mischief.
I have an easy mystery shop to do that I picked up at the last minute and physio this afternoon, then if everyone is at the same place at the same time, the kids have karate then something pasta based for dinner!!
So, during all this, I expect OH will veg on the sofa - he did masses of overtime yesterday so i will allow him to be v lazy today!
Hope you have a good day!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0
