Yes, El, Stargate finished, I'm afraid - 10 seasons - viewing figures were constant, I think it was money, the show just got too expensive.
P - the bod is formally known as "buff" - v odd, he can look quite bulky, but he's actually v v slim - I've had my arm around him (when I could stop shaking) and he's actually really slim [drool is cleared quickly from KC's keyboard]......2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

Morning all! I hope everyone is well. The sun is not shining today so I am hoping for a cooler day than yesterday. Not much planned - DS is off to an archery taster session at the school and then this afternoon I have my Quidco Hillarys blinds visit to endure.
The post brought me a note that I have been overpaid tax credits for last year  Only by £88 but they will still be reclaiming it. I am not sure what has happened there because they mysteriously deposited an additional amount of money in my account last week, so I stupidly assumed they owed me
Also, in the post, Egg have very very very kindly offered to waive the transfer fee on balance transfers should we wish to take advantage. Goody goody, except it is at our wonderful standard variable rate, not any special rate.
So, am I running around trying to find which card to transfer.........heck am I - not at 26.9% As if offering me a transfer for no fee is going to attract me to do it when they have such a high SVR!!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Well, considering we referred them to the ombudsman for unnecessarily increasing the rate from 14.9% to 26.9%, I don't think they are likely to budge - they didn't budge then when we complained!!
I will give them a go though, may be worth a phone call. Am not going to hold my breath though!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -

Hi hypno - how annoying of the three things you've got today only one is a plus - the hillarys blinds. Hope you can sit through it and not get too aggravated. Egg and tax credits, tho - yuk. Really bad stuff 26.9% for heaven' sakes, thats terrible!2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Good morning,
Pania beat me to the suggestion of giving Egg a call.
Sounds like it's been good for mystery shopping, the National Trust dayout seems like brilliant timing. Your DS & DD seem to be having a good holiday. Hope the petrol cutback shows results too.
A good weekend here. Nice weather, and 2 NSD's. Unfortunately happened to look at Ebay so watching 2 things now, but I've set my limits so hope it goes above them? Well I'll either end up with bargains or more 'No spends' - still moneysaving!
How is the neck progressing?
Also how did you get on with the library book amnesty, were they OK when you took them back, I know I'd have been nervous, was it OK?0 -
I think Egg exist in a little world of their own - they've done all sorts with my account from changing aprs around, increasing the limit when I was a student with no income and refusing a limit increase when I'm working on a good salary & wanting to take advantage of a 0% transfer offer!
Tax credits sound like a complete nightmare to me - why can the system never seem to actually work out how much people should be getting? And how come that banks can't take your benefits money as it's considered the minimum you need to live, but the government can?Total Debt 13th Sept 2006 (exc student loan): £6240.06
