Thats amazing about the sending the children shopping actually saves money. Maybe its the one way that people with kids find things cheaper than those of us without kids! There has to be *something* if you look hard enough, I suppose.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Hi Hypno...glad to hear the neck is getting better at last!!!...and it does help to save money when we send the kids as they stick to the list.0

Morning all - no news yet from Egg, but I am not exactly expecting anything fantastic from them!
Today I have bagged up £10 in change from the jar and will pay it off my credit card. On my totals for the year, I am £12 away from having paid £9000 this year, so £10 from the change and another couple of quid will go off the card, just so I can amend my total to £9000!! It will feel pretty good doing that - means that the £10000 is in my grasp!
Today I have to get the children to ski camp, so I bought bits from aldi yesterday for packups. Then off to Physio this morning, and to the bank.
I am also hoping to get a matched bet done today.
The Hillary's blinds man must be a user of MSE because he didn't turn up. Perhaps he knew that I was only doing it for the cashback. I was a bit  that I stayed in for nothing, but have checked Quidco and it has validated so hopefully no problems.
Right, better get dressed - my car is finally being collected for repair, and I am the first call of the day, so they could be here any moment!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. £9000! Woo hoo, that's pretty good going! :T
And we're only just over half way through the year, just think what you can do in another 5 months!0 -
Hypno, £9000 in 7 months is brilliant - and we all know how hard you've worked for it.
When I get down about my ability to pay off my debts I always think of you and feel inspired.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -
Thanks guys - I am still amazed by it myself and the main reason I have managed to do so well is because of the support on these boards. I will get there, and it will be far quicker than if I was trying to do it "on my own", so thanks you guys :T
The car has now been put on the back of a truck and taken off for repair, finally, so hopefully we are getting somewhere!
I hope you all have a good day - have you moved into the shed yet, Seaxwyn?Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
£9000 is absolutely astonishing!!! Well done you, thats absolutely brilliant. Looking back over this year, what would you say have been your main sources of that money, hypno, that is seriously inspirational. I'd be debt free so soon if I was going at that rate. I'm very, very impressed.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Good morning Hypno,
Congrats on nearing the £9k. Only £12 to go, I'd be so frustrated I'd be looking everywhere to find it, but from your thread you've probably looked everywhere already
Pity about the Hilary man, but as long as the cashback appears it's good, and at least you weren't bored to tears
Sun is shining and another NSD here yesterday (3 in a row). Ebay item yesterday I ended up not bidding on, I'd forgotten to do the advanced search on previous sales of the item, fortunately remembered before bidding and although a bargain compared to elsewhere the price was high for ebay, so I'm waiting for the next one at the right price. Other item has gone through my max already so not bidding on that item either.
Good luck with the matched betting. Went through analysing Donglemouse's Diary yesterday. Realised I'm a bit too rusty with Excel, and also it is the sort of thing that will suit OH more than me, so he's agreed to give it a go with me. So he's going to look at it at the weekend. Still a bit wary, not into gambling at all, never even bought a lottery ticket, so want to be mega sure it's OK. Also looked at the likely initial cashflow required based on his figures.
Best wishes for your Physio session.0
