Wow, that website is really good. Looks very professional. I've done a bit of work with maternity care and reflexology after a conference last year where i met Liz Tipping who also works with young babies. It was fasinating as my children have been having reflexology since they were born. You've made me more determined to get my website up and running. Do you get much of your work through your website?

Thanks LJD, I get a fair bit of work from the net, so would certainly get a website sorted. Of course most work comes by word of mouth now, but the website certainly pays for itself several times over, which is more than some other advertising I have done has achieved!!

Lol, i know what you mean. Most of mine is word of mouth too but I'm definitely going to get my act together over the summer. I know you're off now but can I pick your brains about websites another time if that's ok? Things like did you pay to get it done or do it yourself? Night xx

Morning all! Woken up by the phone this morning which was a bit annoying because I had also been woken by a text at 12.40am! I was really tired when I went to bed last night and have woken up even more tired!!

So lots of coffee needed before I see my first client this morning! DS is going skiing, OH is doing yet another shift in his second job. DD has been saving up for a Nintendo DS lite, (we have never had any games console in this house, so she has done well lasting this long!), and has found one on offer in the city, so it has been reserved for her and I will take her to get that, but I will be leaving my own purse at home so that I don't get tempted to spend.

Off to put the kettle on.....

    Morning hypno

I didn't realise you did other therapies, i'm a therapist too, I do a few different ones, I'm just wondering if to do a crystal course, it looks intersting, but not sure how much work I would get from it. The NLP sounds good, I was given some stuff to use with people stopping smoking, but never really looked into it.

Hope you have a good day

Hi Zippy, I did a crystal course but have never used it really. To do a "proper" course takes a long time and is very expensive in my opinion when compared with courses for other therapies. Also, there are quite a few crystal therapists in my area fighting for relatively few clients I think. So, I have it more as an interest than as a "working therapy".

NLP is fab - sometimes I use it as a stand alone therapy, but more often use it combined with the others. So simple, yet incredibly effective!!

I used to be a bit of a course junkie - couldn't wait to get started on the next one - as a result, I have masses of certificates on my wall, but for therapies that I don't use, and probably never will! I have learnt now to stop spending my hard earned cash on training that I don't need, and to concentrate on a few therapies, that I can do additional courses for to boost my experience and therefore my earnings that way!

Yes its very addictive isn't it, thats why i'm not rushing into the crystals, its 2 years and £1200 for the course alone.

I've been constantly training for 4-5 years and wouldn't like to add up how much I have spent and yet the other week all my customers were for reflexology which was the first course I did  I finished my last course at Christmas and this is the first time i've not been doing one so getting withdrawel symptoms now :D

How do you find the hot stone massage, do you get many customers for it?

So pleased to meet another therapist as well as LJD :T

I gave up the hot stone therapy because it takes so long to set up etc, that I started to resent the clients when they rang to book, and that is not a good way of working!!

So I have sold my kit, just obviously forgot to take it off the website......a job to go on the list (thanks for pointing it out!!) :o

Another dry ski slope thumb victim here :o

Only had one other attempt at skiing, but that was cross-country, I was absolutely useless. Well lack of balance and coordination don't help :D

Sons being musicians meant they were banned from dry ski slopes, admittedly they did 'safe' things like climbing etc instead

Loved the website Hypno, very professional. I've got 12 months to get some initial training, is it OK to PM you for some info?

Zippy can I PM you and LJD1 aswell? I don't want to take over the thread with my questions.
