I am gutted. Sold a monitor on ebay that we took the plug off because it wouldn't package properly (there would be a risk of the plug scratching the screen).

Monitor arrived with the buyer on Thursday who said it was not working on initial try, but he would try again later and let us know. We didn't hear from him so assumed he had just wired the plug wrongly or needed a different fuse.

Today he has given the following feedback "Faulty item received, emails unanswered, reported to ebay, spend your money elsewhere".

Yet the monitor was checked working before we listed it - we even took photos of it working as part of the listing!!!!! Also, he has not sent any other email to us and has certainly not given us chance to try and rectify any problem. He only received it on Thursday, so even if he had been sending emails between then and now, it is not inconceivable that we may have been away for the weekend and not able to answer them, so he has been a bit quick off the mark.

I am so  I want to cry. Why is it that every time I think I am doing ok, some !!!!! comes and ruins it for me.

Sorry hypno there are some right !!!!!!!!!! aren't there. I've had one negative and I was gutted, don't know if you can get it retracted without their consent, have you given them feedback yet, do they have many negatives?

Reply to the feedback so it shows underneath saying something like the buyer never compained, item was checked before posting and you would have happily refunded if customer was unhappy, that should reassure future buyers.

Remember you have lots of happy customers and you will always get the odd one or two.

Thanks Zippy, I know I shouldn't let it get to me but it made me so cross. My feedback has always been so good and I really feel sick to my stomach!!

Oh well, we have left a comment underneath his feedback and I have contacted him to say that we felt it was a bit harsh given that we have had no other communication from him and that if he would like to contact us we will rectify the situation, so we just have to wait and see what happens.

He has one negative feedback out of 26, but that was his first transaction, so I had assumed that it was just bad luck at the beginning. Since then things have looked ok for him.

Oh.....better go and put the kettle on again. Always feel better after a cup of coffee.

Oh no! Grrr at him - what a stupid !!!!!!!

It's good that you have replied calmly though that is what people look at too - whenever I want to buy something and the seller has a neg, I always go have a nosy. If the seller has responded well, I tend to still go ahead as the rest are fine, and assume it was an !!! of a buyer!

    ooooh snowy mountains, lovely!

What a :mad::mad: buyer. As others have said, please don't let him get you down. Future buyers will see your good feedback and your reply and know that you are someone to be trusted. Rise above it...

Easier said than done I know, I've had bad feedback on Amazon in the past and although it was undeserved it really upset me. ebay seems even worse than Amazon in that respect. I hope all your other transactions go smoothly and you get lots of nice feedback to push the nasty one down the list.

Thanks Sea and Seaxwyn. Why is it that we let these things get to us so much? I think what worries me more is that one of our buyers from yesterday has not yet paid, and if they see this bad feedback they may decide to back out etc.

Oh well, I am sure in due course it won't bother me but it is one of those things that you take personally, even though you know you shouldn't!

Hi Hypno, that is soooooooo harsh!! what an absolute tig (rearrange)

I know with ebay that you can have feedback removed on mutual agreement, If not i'd leave equally as harsh feedback for him!! You don't deserve something to upset you so much and you ARE doing so well.

Sending a big hug your way, got loads of work to do as gotta go to peterborough for a 1-1 with the boss tomorrow so may keep popping in to say hi.
Have a good evening and try to put the idiot to the back of your mind

Hi P, hope you have had a good weekend and that you have both been doing lots of debt busting together ;)

I have a quiet week, business wise, which is really no bad thing because I have loads in the house to do and loads of admin as well, but I will have to make efforts to keep away from MSE!!! The timer will be well used this week I am sure!
