Pania, try BetUK - £25 for a free £25 without having to bet through a certain number of times I think. Just bet the freebie and away you go, stake returned IIRC.

Pigginskint - nothing is as important as getting well, so everything else can wait - and if you are able to do bits and pieces then it is a bonus :T
Thanks! Most of the time I have been too ill to move off my sofa because I would get so short of breath and worn out (the steroids have put that right but I still get tired if I walk too far) so plenty of time has been spent on DFW!

The children are now back, having had a fab day. They didn't spend all their money and I have told them they can keep what they didn't spend

Thanks Sea, In fact I need to add another day on to my chocolate free total as I have not had any today either :j

Half way there, but if I do not get my bank charges back it will be a long slog to get the other half!! Somehow the second half of the year is approaching in a more daunting manner dfw-wise, although I have warned OH that July and August will be pasta and beans months, so hopefully we will stay on track!

A good week though so far, with ebay and matched betting, and still a garage full of car bootable stuff so onwards and even more onwards!!

Another day and it is OH payday :j So for one day only ladies and gentlemen - our current account is in credit :T

I am taking the Norwegians to the bank first thing although I have a feeling that she has to withdraw the cash out of a machine, and that will mean a daily limit of about £300, whereas I am due £600! Will wait and see what happens but the bank yesterday did tell me that if I pay cash in on a Saturday at my own branch then it should be ok for Monday, so fingers crossed for a high paying ATM today!

Made another £10 matched betting yesterday evening and have another smallish one or two to do today if I get time, so hopefully a little more in the pot.

Then once I have got as much in as possible it is time to update the spreadsheet and do the spending "jars". Because July and August are tight months due to no student, I have got "groceries", "petrol" and "odds and ends" jars and will work out an amount to go in each in cash which will have to last us the month.

Groceries can be supplemented by £21 clubcard vouchers, £5 Morrisons vouchers, and £17.50 Sainsbury Nectar points, so that will help. But last night I gave everyone an example of how they will be living over the next month and no one complained - had made spag bol with just under 1lb of mince and some mystery shopping dolmio for 5 of us. Then the Nowegian family turned up so felt obliged to invite them to stay for dinner. Made spag bol stretch to 8 with some more wine, another jar of free dolmio and some bulgar wheat, and still have 2 portions available to freeze!!

So, have a good day y'all. Will update later.

Respect! :j You know me and wanting to do matched betting..... still haven't done the dry run. What did I do with my time yesterday? Mind you, I had a short-notice session, but I only did one of the letters/phone calls I had planned. I'd love to know how you get so much done....

I don't *need* to do this, but maybe I should....:o

More respect! :T Maybe thats why I spend so much even tho I watch every penny and have gone down to value brand wherever I can... The main thing I've stuck to from my old way is organic root vegetables - pesticides don't wash off them when they're still growing, because theyre *in* the soil. I have realised that I tend to get my carbs from more veg, as opposed to cheaper carbs like rice.

Thanks for your post, hypno, have a good day.

We do eat lots of pasta - those big 3kg bags for £1 are our mainstay I think. We do get our fruit and veg though, but I do admit I buy cheap although I would like to buy organic. I am growing bits of my own but these take time. However, by the end of the summer DS will be moaning about having courgettes again (I seem to grow loads!) which must be a good DFW sign!!

I'd love to grow my own veg, but my excuse always seems to be that I have a small back garden and no time to do it (I'm doing 6 days at work).I wouldn't know where to start!
