This is my experience regarding their 'service':
1. -30.3mb before I could even get the dongle to work.
2. No support from Samba (have emailed and the only response after wasting time on the 'help' page was to get an email saying my account was in the RED! - see point 1). 3. BATTERY cannot be downloaded because Firefox says the file is corrupted. (I'm saving screen shots as evidence.)
4. Ads will not load and the error message is INCORRECT: a) it's NOT loading so I have NOT forgotten to click 'play'; b) I am NOT trying to watch more than one ad at a time (the bloomin' things have to load first!); and c) I do NOT have any ad blockers.
So what is the problem Samba? Are you a scam? You have my £25 and I have NO SERVICE!

Many experienced users there. Samba support also read that forum.
BTW. Internet Explorer does not work with Samba.
Firefox works fine for me. Have you tried deleting Firefox with CCleaner and reinstalling it?
May be you could also try Chrome.
Good luck.

That sounds so strange. I have an issue in one of my Firefox profiles where Youtube ads don't credit. I can't figure out why - disabled extensions, all that, they still don't credit - but they credit in a different Firefox profile in Private Browsing mode just fine. But beside that, everything else is great.
That corrupted battery extension error that you report is seriously worrying. I just tried it out now, and it installs fine for me. When your downloads get corrupted, you should ask who's doing that and why (viruses? ISP injecting ads into it thinking it's HTML? - if it's the ISP, ditch them - they're douchebags if they interfere with traffic). You'll probably get corrupted downloads from other places as well (see if _anything_ works from addons.mozilla.org - they serve files in the same format as the Samba battery).
The ads not loading issue may be because of the same reason why the Samba battery gets corrupted.
Are you trying to download the battery and view ads over your home broadband? Are you using some public Wi-Fi?
If you got to minus 30 MB, you probably got the dongle working, and Windows (is that what you have?) happily tried to download its updates, with no care whatsoever about any network limitations you might have. And not just Windows, but any software that you knowingly or unknowingly have on your computer may try to contact various servers on the Internet for various reasons.
I used 30 MB of Samba data by running a single speed test. It's really easy to deplete it - you don't have to try hard at all.0 -

Sambamobile is data only. No calls no SMS.
I also use ovivomobile.
It gives free allowances every month:
150 Free Minutes (Any Network)
200 Free Texts (Any Network)
500MB Free Data
These are on a monthly basis. Whatever is left over can not be carried over to the next month.0 -
Ordered a sim from Samba and it arrived in 2 days. Popped it into a 3mobile mifi (Samba works on the 3 network) and was up and running in just over a minute. Ideal for use in hotels that charge ridiculous fees (eg Travelodge).0

We used it while away and it worked fine.
I have the battery thing working in firefox.
You can always look at your 'mysamba' info anyway and work out how much of a balance you have from the figures, the battery thing is just to give an indication of balance.
Once in a while a clip wont play under firefox, about twice in 3 months I think and they have played through instead in chrome.
You do need to remember to turn of automatic updates to be sure of not using all your data that way when using it as your only web source.0 -
I want to use this with my new iPad so registered and got the mini-SIM card. I watched a few videos on my desktop using Firefox and have increased my balance to about 700MB.
My SIM card arrived and I've inserted it into my iPad. It now says "Samba" in the top left corner of my iPad screen. I'm trying to follow the instructions on the leaflet which came with the SIM but I can't understand how to download the Samba App.
When I go to the www.sambamobile.com/ipad webpage using Safari, I'm supposed to click download but I can't see that button. It simply asks me for my username and password. I enter these and get a welcome screen with a green battery on it.
Am I supposed to download something and add to my homescreen? How do I do that?
How do I configure my settings so that my iPad will use my wireless connection at home but will switch automatically to the Samba 3g system when I'm on my travels?
