Miss Laid I might have you confused with someone else so apologies, but I thought you were an active member of the FB group?
I made a mistake once, believeing people on the internet were my virtual friends. It won't be a mistake that I make again!

Ok so let me get this straight. These are the rules of 11+:

    1. Anyone in the FB "clique" must not post on MSE

    2. Should anyone in the FB "clique" find a bargain/glitch, they must immediately ignore rule 1 and post it on MSE

    3. If the bargain/glitch isn't posted on MSE from FB, those from MSE 'lurking' in the FB group reserve the right to share that find amongst themselves and keep it from everyone else on MSE but this somehow makes it ok and therefore immune to any negative comments

    4. Certain topics aren't to be mentioned unless the MSE "clique" mention them in which case everyone is allowed to jump in except those the comments are aimed at. If those on the receiving end do jump in, revert to Rule #1

Does anyone realise how childish all of this is? I expect there will be replies to this post telling me to "give over or this thread will get shut down" while failing to mention any one of the numerous posts made earlier today. Do I want this thread shut down - no, but it seems no-one on the receiving end is allowed to defend themselves.

Why would I want to come on here and share a bargain/glitch with people that have made it clear I should eff off? Really, someone posted FB about an iron scanning cheap and after the last bunfight I should have come on here, posted the details, received no thanks from certain members (those posts either side of mine however could expect them) and then toddle back off to FB until the next time? Yeah right. You can chastise me for lurking all you want, you can cuss me up & down for keeping a bargain to myself but seriously, would you do it any different?

I've done nothing to the vast majority on here but if you want to keep the whole FB argument running, I'll keep coming back and defending myself. I find it oddly amusing that people I have never had an issue with suddenly come out of the woodwork to have a go. I don't come on here to start up any arguments. It's the same posters time after time that try to get this thread closed down so keep going, you're doing a splendid job. :T

Just back from wombling, heard loads of sirens.

Am stunned, heard a little boy got hit, and his feet have been severed.

Off to pick up mine and hug them alot.

    Oh no, that is awful:(
Caught up again, I can't believe how fast this thread goes sometimes. DS1 has his last AS exam tomorrow, I am so relieved, he has been doing his Further Maths A level independently (in school but not in a class). For various reasons he started this week knowing he had an exam on Friday but had not even started being taught the particular module. I knew it was going to be a nightmare of a week, that he would have at least a day when he didn't get it at all. He has been the only Y12 left in school as the others have finished their exams, he has really struggled, but today it seems to have clicked, he has done a couple of past papers and managed to get an A in 4 days of learning the topic. I know the final result depends on what questions he gets tomorrow but after how he felt yesterday I am so proud of his efforts this week, like I have said to him, it shows what we are capable of with hard work.

    One proud mum!!!

:T:T:T:T:TWell done to him, totally understand what you are going through, my DS was doing further maths AS last year and now we're just going through A2's. He wanted to do a physics Alevel but at GCSE level it didnt fit into the school curriculum so they agreed to put him in for the exam if he taught himself totally at home, he did and passed and is now on for an A* at Alevel:TJust read your thread to DS and he says to tell him well done for persevering with it:T:T:T:Tand exactly what you said it all suddenly clicks in. Can so understand why you feel so proud;)

Fudgecake that flipping wedding video just had me and Nannylala in floods but the first thing Nannylala said was why didnt they do up her dress:eek::eek::eek:
    Beware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:

I get the points on all receipts apart from staff discount ones

Thanks for the reply. I should have worded it better though :(

When comparing receipts with ASDA, say you are entitled to a JTD of a fiver, will the CC number of the receipt be included (as in, you can only use the JTD with the CC on the Tesco receipt)

    Thanks again :p

Seems to be a good deal with the Tesco Finest meal for £10 :)

I bought the slow cooked beef, £6
    Mixed green veg, £2-50
    Clotted cream berry pudding, £3
    Tesco finest Fiano, £6-99

Total for meal deal £10 less 20% off finest offer £2-42 = £7-58
But I am almost certain that the Fiano wine compares with the Asda price which is £5-00 so would give a JTD of £1-99.

So after JTD the meal deal would cost, £5-59 :D:D

your lurking and posting under a new name didnt last long did it :rotfl:

the rules work both ways...the original idea of the FB group was like I said earlier..to prevent lurkers clearing shelves and to allow swapping.

When the FB fiasco orginally occurred, a few people on FB defended the group saying that they do not hide deals over there and always post them on here.

Its clear thats not the case. Yes, I got my iron based on the hidden info on the group - if I had posted the deal on here, as per your point 3 above, that wouldve caused mayhem surely - because thats what happened yesterday with the cake offer!!!

I couldnt give a monkeys anymore who posts what where....I enjoy MSE and thats where I'll share...along with my friends.

I havent got time in my life to apologise for having an opinion that conflicts with others purely so that other person feels better about themselves. Nor will I be made to feel bad about having my opinion.

So anyone on FB (or even on here) can slate me, keep quoting my posts in order to try to make me look bad....i dont mind - if you get that upset and paranoid over blooming bargains , I hope you handle day to day life in a more positive manner.
hoping for a very MSE Ts glitching 2012!
