The vast majority of people on this thread share every and any finds. But this thread is far more than just sharing bargains.
It's so supportive. Look at how everyone has been so touched by 3Dogs posts. You only have to read Fudge Cakes posts to see what a little community we are. The Free HC campaign....I can't see that happening on any other thread!
Miss Laids socks find has helped nearly everyone here. The people who sit and work out the best way to bring the total of a shop down using coupons. Karly's famous online shop....the list is endless.
It's also lovely to read and take part in the banter and joking, which is also a big part of this thread.
I don't think that makes us at all secretive.....and the Elite bit is all very tongue in cheek....I know I'm not Elite :rotfl:

I fully appreciate that and I have laughed and cried at much that has happened over the year but sometimes things just seem to go to an extreme and people appear to be upset and offended by comments. I totally understand that every thread gets the odd troll or two but just sometimes ther can be an edge to posts and they can be hurtful. It is all in how the reader perceives it and if someone does feel they have been hurt by posts then they have.

Thats me I have had my say but I must say I am a little concerned at the recent direction of some comments and tone of thread.

caz2703, please don't feel the need to defend yourself again.

i've not been a member for long so i'm sure others will have noticed too, every time there is a lack of glitches and real bargains to be had it there starts to be grumblings about the lurkers grabbing all the bargains this time a member even thought of moving the thread to stop the lurkers.
the talk eventually moves on to the facebook group that was set up and more grumblings.
i think this is a wonderful thread and has some truly lovely people on.
but i don't understand how it's ok for a member who chats a lot to not just empty the bargains in their own store but travels to other stores and does the same there, everyone congratulates them, but if a member finds no bargains in their own store it's the greedy lurkers who've grabbed the lot!

lurkers, the cheek the greedy things are probably selling it on ebay or a car boot sale! only thing is i've read plenty of regulars saying they've done the very same thing, who are again applauded for how much money they made. i just don't understand the difference.
i wouldn't condemn anyone who empties the shelves if they are first to find the bargain, well done, whoever they are and whatever their need, there's always another glitch and bargain coming soon.

everyone deserves a bargain, regular posters, lurkers, shoppers who happen upon a real bargain and don't know about this site.

and whilst lurkers may not take the time to thank a poster who has posted a great find i'm sure they do feel thankful!

just my thoughts and roll on the next big glitch, would love to find one myself to post but no luck yet, will keep searching though. :)
mmm..... these strawberries make my breath happy mum ds

On a strand of pure silver, I'll welcome each day

What bothered me the most was those terrible implants, it looks like she's holding a bread roll in front of her chest, I'm know they aren't supposed to appeal to me but do the men on here actually find them attractive ? Has anyone got them ?

A friend had implants, and agree, they look horrible, they not look natural at all. After she had them done she was on the school run and allowed everyone to have a 'feel'..:eek:

Yowser!!! They look like apples on her chest and are totally ridiculous on her body. I always though Mel S was naturally beautiful but she's gone down in my estimation for succumbing to surgery. What a shame. The rest of her body is bloomin amazing though, how fabulous does she look?!!
    Tiger
I'm a body double for Claudia Schiffer and i wont get out of bed for less than [STRIKE]£10k per day[/STRIKE] a 1p find

Hope everything is perfect for you on Sunday Danielle
I remember you said the reception was a a Cornish Golf club. Is it St Mellion by any chance?
If it is.....it will be fab. I spent a week there once on a course for work and the food was absolutely fantastic.

Mind you, the golf course near me is renowned for its food too....so maybe all golf clubs are fab!!
I wish you and your husband to be every happiness for the future. :happylove
And don't forget the most important bit........

WE WANT TO SEE LOTS OF PICS!!!

Yes it is St Mellion. It would be even better if we had nice weather, but the weather for Sunday isn't looking too great :(

I know there was a whole row previously about this thread and a Facebook group and I don't want to go there again, but as a very old hand with MSE and a poster during the DTD days and whenever I have had a bargain/glitch I am very disappointed with the way this thread has moved.

I would probably be classed as a lurker, so be it, but this is an open forum with a very distinct ethos where moneysaving and helping others is at the heart. It is not an "elite", and I think that would be totally against Martin's reasons for setting up the site and against the general spirit of the forum. I think those who consider themselves to be in the know should catch themselves on, it is really rude and arrogant to post about not posting about bargains and implying a secretive group that shares amongst themselves.

I really think this thread has got to the point where the Mods need to make a call on its viability and decide whether it is in keeping with the spirit of the site. You may not like my comments and think well don't read the thread but this whole hidden, secretive nonsense is bringing down the good name of MSE.

    Thanks.

I think you miss the point ENTIRELY!!!!

This thread is all about sharing freely and helping others and we always welcome newbies and occasional posters. Most of us wouldnt have it any other way and we pride ourselves in that.

The point is, a FB group was set up to store pics, documents and lists and to do things like sharing and swapping which isn't allowed on here. That group morphed from that into a small group of 30 or so people and most others were excluded (I've requested membership on more than one occasion to be ignored on each occasion as have others).

Thats very different and nothing to do with martin. Our ethos on this thread is nothing but honourable.

The only thing we dont mind on here is making it hard for tesco staff to remove the bargains before we get them, or making it hard for hardcore lurkers to keep up!

anyways ...back to what we do best....

if you've signed up and had your freebies from Kenco and Kenco Millicano then check your inbox...I've just had 2 seperate emails for a 50p moc for any Kenco and 50p Kenco Millicano....no great offers at the mo so I'll hold onto mine....

but the 100g Millicano is £3 in A and £3.99 in T.....so combine with the free sample 75p moc if you still have it and after JTD will be £1.74....not a bad price :)
hoping for a very MSE Ts glitching 2012!
