thanks guy for your suggestions....Queenie, please feel free to come and try the hoover trick on my cats :rotfl: they'd tear the place down...suffice to say they don't really like the hoover (on or off....)
I'll see if I can get some of those surgical gloves to run over them, as I brush each of them daily for about 20minutes each (one of them hates the brush and his cries are very pitiful!!)
....and the airing of the flat, but it just seems to build up, naughty puddy tats....
we use those clothes defluffer things, the circular things that you run over the clothes, and we go through them very quickly...we also keep them in the car, so we can defluff the fluff we didn't see initially....!!!
Don't you just love 'em dearly!!!!0 -

Groom the cats even more often than you do already to keep the shed hair down?
Don't let them in to the washing machine?
Don't let them kip on the laundry?
One of them sleeps in the dirty laundry0 -

Can't you get those mitts for stroking/grooming your pets from JML etc? You can clean and re-use them so less wastage than using those disposible ones? Woolies should have them.
ps haven't ever used them. My let my tropical fish moult in their waterMind you, DS2 has quite a hairy back and he's only a toddler  He might like it

We have the same problem with my cat - short haired but moults something shocking!
I find grooming twice a day with a metal brush (it says for longer haired cats) really does the trick (mind you, hes a softy and loves being groomed so its not a problem!)
Hes only allowed on the spare bed and all my floors are laminate and my suite is leather so its not too difficult to clean up - I agree with the rubber glove - dragged over the cushion covers its amazing what it picks up! Has to be dry mind......Kondo'ed 76 items from wardrobe, 4 carrier bags of books0
