Sending them a letter sounds like a good idea. Should I quote anything that sounds law related as well?0

Lol, true. I'll send them letter or something anyway and see what they say. As I said, I'm not trying to escape paying my fine, but I'm not comfortable with handling over my card details. It should probably be outlawed.0

DO NOT PAY THEM ! It is not a "FINE". If you owe them anything it's only the price of the ticket. You must understand they can't "FINE" you.Hi Ho Silver Awayyyyyyyyyy0 -

You are not getting it! They have no legal power to fine you whatsoever! They cannot penalise you financially and that is the law of the land! Start thinking "They can't fine me" and repeat until the mnessage has got home. Then ignore them from now on."You should know not to believe everything in media & polls by now !"

Also, when the parking company in question has operated within industry guidlines, they win
Soo the solicitor on BBC's Watchdog a few months ago whose advice was to 'ignore' these tickets ect was also giving bad advice was he?..AND if the parking companies operate withing Industry Guidelines, then why are they being made illigal & often in the news after they are arrested & charged?..Seems their dodgy dealings land THEM in court more often than they win a court case...0 -
Maybe he should read HO87's post on the validity of tickets via the post on VCS.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0
