i have one of those that was given to me in my younger days but it is only in good condition so i think maybe i should aim for £599.99 perhaps:rotfl:

still sold nothing since 25th of feb, but it is comforting to see it is not just me,unfortunately quite a few people seem to have the same problem,

as d'ream once sung "things can only get better" I hope

    cheers:beer:
one day my ship will come in and with my luck i will be at the airport:rolleyes:

Ok, so when I put my first post on here, I didn't think I'd be starting two pages of discussions on Mills and Boon!!

Anyway, I never really thought I'd make much on them, but wanted to test the process and get used to listing etc before I started listing anything of any real value.

So now I've done it - took about half an hour to list 11 M&B's and I think all has gone ok, so tomorrow I'll start with my own bookshelves.

I'll let you know when I get my first sale - and whether it is M&B or not. :D

Hi all, I was in the process of listing my books on Thursday when I received an e mail to say that I had sold one! I was really surprised and quite panic sticken. Talk about beginners luck. I am still wondering what do with the books that Amazon says I am not able to list. Is it worth becoming a pro seller? Thanks.

  • Hi there ctc -you've no real guidlines for this book so I'd just pluck a figure out of the air, say £50? and wait 6 months and look at it again

Magenta, that's great news about your sold book, I think that everyone remembers their first sale, mine was a Harry Potter. The ones that you can't list are a bit of a pain but have you tried www.greenmetropolis.co.uk or www.readitswapit.co.uk ? going pro is a bit of a risk unless you have several hundred listed to make the outlay worthwhile

  • seriously ?????

yes, and in six months I'd reduce it to £30, then 6 months later it will be £15, then by 2010 I'd have lost hope and given to a charity shop  but you may as well start high because you never know if someone wants badly....

    Hi all,

I'm a fairly sporadic lister on Amazon - I listed a couple of PC Games that we no longer use and they sold for a much better price than I could have got on ebay - so I'm very happy with that. However one buyer bought two games - which I dispatched promptly. They have now emailed me through Amazon to say they have not received them. I sent them First Class post - but not recorded (duh!) but I do have proof of posting - which I almost threw away yesterday.... phew.

How do you recommend I proceed. If my buyer hasn't received the games then I really do not want to keep him waiting - however I'm not really sure he is telling the truth!!

    Thanks in advance

    Hi frugal,
You have already had lots of good advice on what to do for this problem but I just wanted to put my 2 cents in.

Because we never know whether or not to trust the buyer who says they haven't received the item, here is one way that can help. Open up a new email account that is separate from the email registered on amazon. Then put this email address in with the package, for example on the packaging slip, or in my case on my business card. Then just keep an eye on that account, just check it a couple of times a week, and if you get an email to that account saying the item wasn't received then you know they are lying because how could they possibly know that email address without having the package?! Obviously this won't always work because sometimes they will choose to contact you through the amazon pages, but if that helps you just once to not lose money on a dodgy buyer, then it has helped.
