    Secret Me I'm glad you managed to have a talk eventually. At least she is aware now of how she was behaving. Sometimes all it takes is for the bad behaviour to be pointed out. Just keep on top of things.
    If she does get abusive again, just calmly say 'I'm not listening to you speaking to me like that. I am leaving the room now'. Sounds weird, but it really, really works. Believe me, I've tried it. You keep your dignity, don't give them any chance to argue or continue to abuse you, and many times, it just wakes them up to the fact that they are being a bu**er!
