I cringe when I read some peoples comments on posts whether it be comp related or not. The negativity of alot of people is really astounding. And what is it with people thinking they have a "right" to win. Honestly the comments you read sometimes are quite shocking.

Totally agree - I despise compers who think they have the "right" to win something!
From what I was reading on another forum this has already happened with one company on FB. They posted that due to all the negativity and bad comments they will no longer be hosting anymore FB comps.

If it's the one I know of, that was with good reason. I won't bring it up on here but the negativity was well deserved! (And the page has been questioned about being legit as it was picking local "people" even advertising it as open to everyone!)

Are we friends again? :rotfl: I have to say, I haven't seen anything bad from you since ;)

I do get slightly annoyed when people don't thank someone for something - whether it be a comp / an answer / whatever - but then I was brought up with good manners :)

Let's get back to winning (or losing :( )- be lucky all xxx
    Thanks to all posters :A

Got to say, I like the reply on her blog which has the secret to winning as much as she does -
I don't use MSE for comps - although I contribute where I feel I can offer advice or if someone is ranting about my blog. I search for comps on Google or Twitter because I know they will get far fewer entries than those listed on MSE

So basically, stop sharing with other people, keep it to yourself and you'll win more, nice attitude!

I don't care for Di, if you're going to write a blog, write it well.

My left foot could write better content than she can. It's really just a mess. I like her reply that thanked the MSE person to be the only one to reply to her blog and not post about it on here. That's because your blog is total rubbish and no one in their right mind should sign up to it!

I think the MSE Comping community is brilliant.
People spend their own time to list comps and answers etc even though they have less chance to win by doing this. That is such a nice thing to do and I as well as many others appreciate this and think you are all brilliant.

When I first starting comping on here it took me two days to find out how to register so I didn't thank at first as I didn't even realise how to!
The site can be quite complicated to use when you aren't use to it. I'm still learning now! I'm not the best with forums etc as I haven't really used them before.

Once again a big thanks to everyone. This site proves there are still kind and thoughtful people out there.

I couldn't agree more. I don't often find comps to post but when I do I'm excited as I can share it with everyone on here. There are posters who post so many great comps and spend their time and money so that we can all benefit so I think it's great to give something back. I love it here on MSE and wouldn't want to be anywhere else. :kisses3::grouphug:

I have posted 1 or 2 comps on here, always thank when I found out how and say thank you when I win something. I have a 7 month old baby so most of my time is spent entering to win things for her :D And the comps I have gone to list someone has already done it. Lol.

I have bit my tongue for fear of upsetting people but i am going to point out this is a money saving expert forum some people do dabble in competitions in order to win things they cant afford or things they can sell to make money which YES i know seems to upset people but we have to remember why most of us are HERE. I prefer it to other Comping websites because it has answers and links making it easy to enter because i dont have the time to go looking for answers all the time as i do have a life away from the computer. I guess this does make me greedy i do comp then move onto the next one i have even had to sell a win in order to fund christmas. I have been on MSE for years and am shocked to see how things have changed and how some people have created such drama. Most people on here are busy parents or people trying to make friends get advice and win something so yeh not everyone has the time to contribute and MSE is much easier for us with not much time. I do often read Di's blog though. Some very valid and great posts that i personally enjoy reading. (i heard of her blog when my dad saw her on the news and he asked me why i dont win as much as she does) so wanted to see her secret to winning.

I love MSE. Now lets all just be lucky. Try to get on. Everyone has their own ideas and opinions so we just have to take it on the chin. Sorry if i have upset anyone with this post :)

In a way I'm glad she posted what she did, as it has led to a real sense of community togetherness and support (plus a little debate is good for everyone).

I for one am incredibly greatful for the people who post comps here. I've just had my first win and am thrilled to pieces. I have also tried to post a few comps... failing each time to search correctly :wall::D

The only thing that grinds my gears is when people comp for holiday wins and don't read the t&cs. For example - If it's for a family and you don't have a child, don't enter! Surely that's got to be straightforward :rotfl:

I just wanted to say a massive THANK-YOU to all the people who post, especially the regulars.

Given how much she has said she's won, she can't exactly accuse anyone else of being greedy :rotfl:

EXACTLY! Does she not completely encompass what she regards as "bad"?
