Glad everyone is enjoying the sun. It is lovely to see the tourists here looking so happy - normally they look fairly miserable and have all their waterproofs on! Remember going to Skegness once at begining of May and they had a heat wave and I couldn't find T-shirts to buy anywhere so had to go about in jerseys with the sleeves rolled up.
Still not having any luck with the comps and will be abandoning them tomorrow anyway.

Does anyone know anything about Daz having a competition for their 60th anniversary? I got something on my Facebook from the site "Freestuff" but when I clicked on it I couldn't get the competition. Supposed to be loads of prizes. Will someone watch out for it and if you see it let me know as I would love to give it a go. If I find out anymore I will let you know. It may not have started yet.

Morning all, looks like it will be another nice day here.

Had a scary moment last night. OH was on nights and I let Cooper out for his last wet and suddenly there was an enormous flying thing bashing into the garden light, I've never seen anything like it before. I managed to get Cooper in eventually, he was chasing it around. When I went into the bathroom it was crashing into the bathroom window and making a hell of a racket, I was really frightened. I've Googled it this morning and it seems to have been a Cockchafer (Maybug) which are totally harmless, but I've never seen such an enormous thing,

Glad I wasn't out there sheils, it looked really dangerous but apparently they don't bite or sting and have no idea of flying around things, they just blunder right on into stuff.

Check out Google this morning (with sound on), it's really good.

    Good Luck all.

    Morning all,

Wednesday already, hope everyone is lucky. My postie better bring something good today - yesterday was all junk and monday he didn't even bother :) need something for this week even if its only a little one

Sheils have a lovely day at The Lakes

Sue yuk i'd have been like you. Hate flying insects

Not had my paypal cash yet. Hopefully soon. Does anyone know if you can withdraw it from your paypal account to your bank account? :D

Had an email back today finally off the people who sort the parking permits for our street. Looks like i have to go to their offices to get one made up - will have to do it as been in flat a year and when people visit they have just been parking but they are issuing a lot more parking ticket fines round us now so daren't risk it for them.

Was grateful for my dad yesterday . I did a big stock up shop which i couldnt have done without my dad. Bless him

Morning Becks. My Daughter has those permits around her area as she lives near a station and people were parking in the street and commuting leaving no spaces for residents. She gets her own permit free and has to pay for a book of visitors permits.

We don't even get a free one (not that we have a car) a residents one is about £5 cheaper for a year than a years visitors one. We will get the use though as quite often has my dad, my mum, my brother etc round so don't mind so much. Will rather have it than them get a fine

Morning everyone :) lovely and sunny here all this week so got a skirt on! :p (not that I've got the legs for it!)
My aunt had a lovely send off yesterday at funeral, a lovely horse and carriage and service was full of laughter and tears :)

Enjoy your day at the lakes Sheils ;) I've only ever been there once.

Sue, my sis used to get may bugs in Germany and they were huge heavy things! When they were killed she had to leave them on the window sill as they took two weeks to die apparently.

Has anyone else had emails where they say....sorry, we made a mistake with our last email....blah, blah, blah.... And we're offering you 10% off your next purchase! Just a scam to get you to order! Seem to be getting loads of different ones.
Big thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!
