    hth xx

Thanks for letting me know FF.....it's as well I didn't go ahead and buy it as I have no time to even think about postals, plus I no longer do the Royal Mail surveys so my supply of stamps is very low:rotfl:

I have left a message on their Facebook page about this, don't expect to see anything now until the morning though.

    Hey everyone.

    I have a question.;)

Does anyone here hide their "referral" i.e. so that a site can't see where you have clicked their link from? I use FF and have my header referral set to 0 which means that my browser doesn't tell the comp site that I came from MSE, but I was wondering if those who do it or something similar have noticed that their wins have dwindled since doing it?

If you go to http://www.fullhousemagazine.co.uk/ then you get
This site is temporarily down for maintenance
Sorry for any inconvenience - thank you for your patience

I would try it again tomorrow.
  • One of my old schoolfriends has a beauty blog which very infrequently runs competitions. Would I be in breach of any of the forum rules if I posted them on here? I've read all the MSE rules and the sticky thread but am still concerned I might end up getting in trouble for referrals/advertising....

    Thanks

I'm afraid you would be in breach of the rules. They say

"MoneySavingExpert.com is a free site - you cannot pay to buy space - one of the reasons why so many people use it! Equally you are not allowed to advertise any goods, services and/or companies anywhere on the forum, or through private messages (PMs), no matter how honourable the intention.

'Advertising' includes touting for business; asking people to contact you; posting e-mail addresses which indicate a web address; linking to sites or blogs you or friends are involved in (whether you’re selling something or not), or to your eBay or other auction sales.

I've just found this site which seems to have been running comps for the last few days. The details are on the right hand side of the site in the 'Recent Facebook Activity'. Unfortunately fb is blocked here so I have no idea of the prize or entry details but if someone with access would like to post today's, assuming it's not already been posted, it'd be a big help. Cheers.
