Competitions Discussion Thread Part 17

Hi All,
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what would be a good phone to purchase in order to be able to enter comps when I'm away from home?
Not fussed about FB/Twitter, but would love to be able to access MSE and enter etc.
Any suggestions appreciated

Click on the "End Date View" button in post #2 of this thread, or on the word "Title" in the heading above the list of comps
The sort order is strictly alphabetical, so it starts with 31/12. 06/06 follows 06/07 and starts currently at page 219, but the page number will change as more comps get posted and deleted.0 -

Looking at the entry page, you need to quote a code from the magazine itself - but I guess if you have the magazine you could put the code in the thread or ask whether anyone else has access to it?
Hope that helps:D
It does say, "
Magazine Entry Code
(You can find this on the competition
page or on the newsletter) (*)"
But I'm not sure what they mean by that.2018 - £562 2019 - £130 2020 - £276 2021 - £106 2022 - £1400 -

It means you need to have either the magazine or newsletter with the competition code in to be able to enter. xYou never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

I have been enterring the magazine daily comps (look, chat, now, pick me up etc) for a long time now. A few weeks ago they started to get really slow and I could not get on them. I have been on holiday & used the laptop to enter occasionally with no problem. On returning I find that I still cannot get on these with my main computer. Has anybody any idea why this should be? Probably a technical issue but I dont know what!!!0

Thanks, finally got my head around it. Sorry to be so dim, M.E. brain fog has been severe last few days, running on few working brain cells.

I don't see why not - unless the T&C explicitly say so. I have won things from local newspapers 150 miles away from where I live and they never questioned it. I even had a prepared explanation - "I live in London but I visit [Town X] on business every month and pick up the paper when I'm there"zombieslayer25 wrote: »I have another 2 questions, sorry.
1) Can I enter a comp on a local radio/TV/newspaper that is not local to me? Obviously I wouldn't if it was for tickets to local events or for prizes to be collected, but say for money or goods?
Check the T&C. If the website is aimed at a certain group, you don't have to be in that group to read it. If you had to register and state an age in that process they could be accuse you of giving false details and disqualify you but I doubt they'd check. Maybe there's a risk if they ask you to send a picture for publicity and they think you look far too good :rotfl: Get a pic of an older relative on hand just in case...zombieslayer25 wrote: »2) can I enter comps that are aimed at specific people that Im not one of? For example, if I see a comp where the website is aimed for over 60's (Im 33) can I still enter?
ThanksI need to think of something new here...0 -
