Checked the crate 3 times before going to Tesco (absolutely had to go, nothing to eat at home), all 3 bolts in place.
Came back about 1.5 hour later - happy Zara greeting me at the front door......

Have you got one of those strechy bungee things with a clip at each end? Some dogs do learn to let them selves out. maybe if you fit a bungee thing to the door it will stop her.

Pleased to read everything went well with Zara's op GR :) Noel was great with me and my cat last year and I definitely felt he was not one of those specialists who is all about the money, he genuinely seemed to care about both the animal and the owners.

Just got back home about an hour ago.

Zara is fine so far, final check up in 4 weeks time.

Wr should however cut her trips outside from 4 a day to 3 per day - because of the stairs....

It was a long day... Thanks a lot everyone :)

Soon it will be 3 weeks since the op and half way there - dinal check up/discharge at 6 weeks on the 9th July.

Zara clearly fed up with the crate, going out just 3 times per day for 15 min each time.. adding 5 minutes per week so will be 20 min from Monday...

But - she nearly pulled me over few times now wanting to go walkies across the road to the fields rather than "round the block".. sigh.. she is really strong and frustrated, looks like will have to put a halti on her before she kills me and does some damage to her leg.....

Saying that - glad she seems to be on the mend and all looks good so far...
