The question is cheap is good for someone whom doesnt use the internet so often but trying to get unlimited usage for a cheap price your going to get what you paid for i.e. most likely a throttle service long support wait times and generally a poor service.

We use a provider at work titanadsl which does a combined service on a 3 month min deal for £26 a month with unlimited usage!

Might be worth a look into

Its O2, AOL, Pipex, Sky/Easynet, Talk Talk and Tiscali who operate in my area. Neighbour just told me Sky are doing half price offer which sounds great.

So the only real choice there is 02 or Sky. Depends on your requirements/usage.

I have used between 10 - 38 mg a month over the last 4 months. Am now in talks with Sky but think the deal with Talk Talk is better at £22.50 a month (if I pay for the line rental up front). They are £5.00 a month cheaper than Sky.

    Hi All,

Sorry to muscle in on this thread. I have just been offered the following deal: Broadband/line rental/Unlimited calls/caller display for £23.04 per month, if I sign for 12 months.

However, being the tight ar*e that I am, I'm always striving for a better deal and if I can find one I'll go back and see if a price match is possible..

I have AOL, O2/Be, C&W, Sky/Easynet, Talktalk and Tiscali available at the exchange. Virgin cable and BT Infinity are also available.

Would any of the above be able to beat the £23 for broadband/line/calls?

Those are just the LLU providers-you also have the choice of dozens of BT resellers.

Well, there was the implication that resellers are likely to levy a surcharge, which'll possibly make them more costly than the deal I'm looking at.

Cheapest deal I have personally found so far is £237 for broadband/line rental/anytime calls (Plusnet) with the added bonus of £25 cashback, ie £212 per year!

Equivalent to £17.67 per month for the year.

Almost certainly so, I was simply correcting your statement which gave the impression that the LLU providers were the only options.

Sky or 02 would be my shortlist.
    Not BT or TT.
Make your own shortlist and then research the offers available.

If you are an existing Sky TV customer then their current deal of free broadband for 6 months works out as £18.50/month over 12 months (includes unlimited, unthrottled ADSL, line rental and inclusive calls 24/7 to UK landlines and some international destinations)
