Advice please the best Broadband/phone

Please could someone kindly advice me which broadband and home phone package is the best value?

I would look at a minimum of 10gb but ideally unlimited. I am currently with BT landline and 02 broadband.

Which is the best deal out there?

Thank you

There is no 'best'. Broadband is exchange-specific, so do an exchange search on www.samknows.com for your LLU options.
O2 is generally considered to be one of the better LLU providers.
Among the resellers, Plusnet will probably come out cheapest if you are on a Market 2 or 3 exchange, at £6.49 for the 10GB Value package.
There is a huge gulf between 10GB and unlimited though! 10GB is usually the level for low users.

I'm also looking for the exact same package as Eddie having been in a contract with Talk Talk for 18 months. I'm not a techno expert so may I ask what LLU stands for please. What does a "Market 2 or 3 exchange" mean? Also may I include my mobile phone in the package? I'm currently paying £36 a month and am a private individual not a business. Its a good service I am receiving so I wouldn't want to lose this. Thanks for any suggestions.

Local Loop Unbundled: providers who use their own kit in BT's exchanges, so don't have to pay BT Wholesale rates for network access.
Each exchange is graded Market 1, 2 or 3 depending on the number of LLU providers available. Do the samknows check and all will be revealed.
Mobile phones runs on completely separate networks to ADSL broadband via a landline.
£36 for what? Just for line rental, calls and broadband, that is extremely expensive! No TT LLU tariff costs that much. If you are on a TT non-LLU service, you get a £15pm surcharge, which makes them totally uncompetitive.

Thank you for the info. My package includes upto 24 mg, upoad upto 2mg and download upto 24 mg. Unlimited local calls all day and free calls to other talk talk lines. I moved here 18 months ago and didn't take enough time to check all these things.
I have been talking to talk talk just now and they have offered me a new deal which is
100 free mobile calls each month
    £27 a month for a 12 month contract
If I pay the line rental up front - £114 the monthly payments would then be only £12.50 per month (over the year this works out at £22.50 a month).

So compared with £35 a month this sounds a good deal doesn't it?

Impossible to comment without knowing what your LLU options are, and hence what you could get elsewhere.
But obviously much better than your current deal.
Slight confusion, you said 'mobile phones'. but now you are referring to 'mobile calls'-so I assume you are talking about landline calls to a mobile, not bundling a mobile phone contract?

Sorry for the confusion I meant 100 free minutes from my landline to mobile phones. My mobile phone contract with TMobile doesn't end until October so I wont be able to tie it all together with my BBand/Home Phone deal. I'll be back here in October to deal with that one!

Will try to get my head around the LLU options. Have made a start by visiting SamKnows website. Am assuming I will need to check those other providers in my area to compare what their deals are? Is this a correct assumption?

    Thanks a lot.

Any service that runs over the phone line will have the same speed limitations as the current provider, so if you don't get 10 Gb now then you probably won't get any more.

The options for going faster it to go to a fibre connection, which means either Virgin or something on top of the new BT fibre infrastrucute that is being rolled out (eg. BT or Sky).

If you tell us what the LLU options are then some advice can be given, otherwise we are just guessing. The offers will be the same nationally, subject to LLU availability on your exchange.
Or just tell us your exchange name.

Its O2, AOL, Pipex, Sky/Easynet, Talk Talk and Tiscali who operate in my area. Neighbour just told me Sky are doing half price offer which sounds great.
