Just that taking blinds that are custom made for the house/blinds you werent planning on using anyway
Nope, they said taking curtains was petty. Blinds are completely different as they are often custom made."There is no medicine like hope, no incentive so great, and no tonic so powerful as expectation of something better tomorrow." - Orison Swett Marden0 -
I'd also leave curtain poles. I can understand taking curtains if they'll fit at the new house but I think curtain poles should be left as they are fixed to a wall. I'd be annoyed if I moved into a new house and found the vendor had taken them (and would the holes have been covered and painted over etc?).0

We were first time buyers when we bought our current home and the vendors knew this. They'd upgraded and were obviously OK for a bit of cash - they left us with all blinds and window fittings, a leather sofa in the front room (after hearing we didnt have one yet) and a big double american style fridge freezer with a bottle of wine in and a note!
It made me think i'd paid way over the odds for the house but in reality I got a bargain. The sofa and fridge helped out so much as we couldnt afford to do the house up for ages.MFW - <£90kAll other debts cleared thanks to the knowledge gained from this wonderful website and its users!0 -
When I sold my flat the buyer asked if she could buy all of my furniture, curtains and white goods. I said 'no, but she could have the white goods, curtains and bookcases for free'. It would've cost too much and been far too much hassle to transport them 100 miles just to be put in to storage. I wanted to keep my lovely sofa bed, but unfortunately we had to leave that behind too. It fitted up the stairs (just) when I bought it, but then I had the place replastered and the few extra mm meant that it wouldn't fit back down the stairs0
