If you put your phone number in here, it will tell you if FTTC is available. There are dozens of other providers.

    Cant help with cable though.

Just checked mine. BT Infinity NOT available - best I can get according to them is 1Mb - woohoo !!
  • Can I ask why BT are advertising Infinity 2, when a lot of customers havent even got Infinity ? Could understand if I was out in the sticks, and not in the second city of England.

Going by BT spin doctor, you'll get it second last or is that second class ? ;)

Either way by BT or Post Office standards, you'll be waiting eternity on infinity, or is that infinity on eternity ? Same difference I thinks !

Best all can do is join up to ADSL+ as when BT see a big demand on exchanges with ADSL+ companies FIBRE gets a priority to said exchange so the BT Openreach engineer (read 19 yr old boy) installing my TalkTit Fibre said, my exchange got pole position then the other 4 in my city as TT, Be/o2 & Sky, AOL all are LIVE on LLU & Fibre competes where it HAS too mostly over ADSL/MAX 2MB & 8MB BT services where BT make a killing on "BT Wholesale" rebadged products - same now applies to BT Infinity rebadged resellers.

BT has been good to my exchange, first in city with broadband, then 2MB, then ADSL max at 8MB now 40MB with 80MB upgrade coming, which is a direct contridicted comparison with now & Freeview LITE, when I lived in a small town 20 miles away North more remote - FULL ITv digital from launch but no broadband till 2008 - seriously Ofcom need to get a grip with technology licences it hands out for the business areas it covers
SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe ;)

Why is Usain Bolt pretending to be Richard Branson offering to double speeds for customers but not me (I don't live in a Virgin enabled area).

Sometimes services are offered based on availability, it isn't available for you yet. Do you think all those customers shouldn't get their speed increases?
