garage bill advice

It'll be there next to the sign in the car park, saying all cars parked at owners risk.0

Yes, all well and good. But when you put the car into the hands of the professionals you expect them to fix it and therefore there is an onus on the garage to do so. It is not reasonable to expect to pay £1200 for a no fix. If the garage thought that it was beyond them to fix it, then they ought to have said so long before the bill reached £1200.If the OP gave go ahead for the garage to try and diagnose and change parts then he hasnt got a leg to stand on or a car seat to sit on until he pays the bill if they draw a blank after using all their expertise
the detail is in the garage terms and conditions that will be clearly displayed on their property

With the history on the other thread, I wouldn't be happy paying if they hadn't fixed it. It does surprise me if they know fuels going into the pump, but won't come out. That's fairly specific, and either it's the pump, or the immobiliser. There isn't much else in there. Could even be the original pump sheared the drive shaft, and the second pumped isn't coded to the ecu, but it can't be rocket science to get fuel though one eventually.
thanks great info :T0 -

it will be in the office where work is booked in and will be for the attention of all customers next to the one saying no credit terms
if the garage is really on the ball they would have got the OP to have signed to agree to ongoing investigations on his vehicle
you of course wouldnt see these because your head is always up your bottom0 -

So their sign is a valid contract then, the same as the one I always leave on my dash saying I don't need to pay if they leave the steering wheel dirty, and I own the mechanics house if he leaves oil on the seat? You must pay Aldi parking fines as well then? Take a torch up there with you next time, and do a bit of reading, your head must be up your !!! more than it's out.0 -

if you cared to read both threads as im sure a person with your amount of posts would find difficult to do you would read that op contracted the garage to work on the car and as such agreed to garage terms and conditions
you being a barra boy solicitor would know this if you read all your croners0
