Thanks NOA, feeling pretty smug about it really, especially as OH made a comment about my shrinking size this week. I'm still in size 22 jeans, but then I couldn't get into them in the summer. My legs need to catch up with the rest of me. (Mainly due to lymphoedema)
My M&5 size 20 jeans are too big though!
Looking forward to being a proper size 14 by the time I see DD for the first time in over 2 years.
Debt wise, nothing is moving much either way as I'm only paying off £10pm now but I'm content as long as the predators aren't circling my letterbox xTargets

Earlier today I was talking to OH about Christmas gone and reminded him of DS stealing all the chocolates from his sister's advent calendar when he was little. This led to a conversation about Christmases as a child. OH dropped the bombshell that he had never in his life, ever had an advent calendar. I know this may not seem like much to some but I found it quite sad and had I known would have bought him one at some point over the past 20 years. I only ever had card ones, without chocolate, as a child but even though there was very little money to spare my mum made this effort for all 4 of us.
A few years ago I gave OH a teddy bear for Valentine as a joke really, (he's such a manly man after all) but was shocked when told it was his first, at 40+ years of age. Explains a lot to me really, how can a little boy grow up to nurture/cuddle when he's never had a toy/pet to cuddle as a child.
I think I may try to buy him an advent calendar tomorrow

I've had loads of teddy bears Granny.......still got two!!
I've had advent calendars too.......with chocolates in. I was too much of a 'goody two shoes' to take out all of the chocolates on day one. It was a day at a time. I wish I had then been a 'goody two shoes' with the credit cards though. You just get naughtier the older you get don't you?

Morning Granny, Poor OH! If you really want to spoil him you could buy 20 to make up! For the first time last year I didn't buy any (was being frugal, was desperate and trying to decide whether to proceed with the secured consolidation loan through PayPl*an) and was waiting for them to go down in price on 1st December, but they sold out instead? I bought DS And DD a box of chocs each instead, but that didn't count! So DD at uni told me yesterday she had bought two for herself - to make up for last year.
Have a lovely day
