How did you find a free four day break? I have never seen one!
Last January OH paid £99 for a week away in Tenerife in a time-share resort. We used this last November. As a bonus for going to their presentation, even though we declined their kind offer to buy a timeshare, they gave us a free holiday. We have many options, most of which involve paying for flights, but 2 options were 4 day breaks in the uk in a hotel with breakfast.
So not free in that way but we haven't paid for it. When I told OH the options, his 1st suggestion was it'd be nice for us to do that for our anniversary in April. I was pleasantly surprised as he loves his foreign holidays, so sent the email off straight away before he changed his mind.

Love the picture Granny, so like me today. And many others I am sure, a combination of the January blues and it being so cold, I just want to hibernate in my super snuggly dressing gown
4 day break sounds lovely :j:j

Thanks Mr B and Princess, I had a lovely relaxing "do bug all" day, it was bliss. Had another nsd as a result, making 2 lots of 5 in a row and 11 in total.
Today was much, much busier as had DGD2 from 9am, picked DGD1 up at 3.20 and took them both home at 5.30. A very long, tiring but enjoyable day. DGD2 and I sat on the floor playing cup of tea and cake for ages, she was sooooo funny.
Not a nsd today but not too bad considering.
Coffee free courtesy of voucher, snack was a banana from home. DGD2 had her own drink and furnished with some of my banana and a bag of crisps was more than happy.
Bought myself a new dressing gown, 2 nighties for DD and some knickers, cost £15, courtesy of gift card and vouchers.
Also got scarf and top for me, no cost, courtesy of gift card.
On the way home DGD fell asleep in the car, so having driven home the long way round, considering going via carwash as car in dire need, I handwashed the car when I got her home with 3 buckets of water, an old towel and a brush. Car looks as good as it would if I'd taken it through the carwash, money saved and I got some exercise.
This evening we had the last of my lasagne with mashed carrots, cauli and potatoes. OH enjoyed it so much he's asked me to make it again. I'm making mushroom risotto tomorrow.
Probably won't be a nsd tomorrow as I'm thinking of going for facial and haircut, although these are paid for already I may end up buying coffee or lunch.
Lost a further 5lbs this week, doubt this rate will continue as this is really losing what I put on over Christmas but I'm happy to be down into my next stone again. Now the real work to lose that additional 2 stone kicks in.
Hope you've all had a good Monday

So not a nsd as I went out as planned but was pretty low spend, £5 in Mr T for few bits for tea and rest of the week.
Other than that pretty uneventful really.
Off to bed for earlyish night as working tomorrow, hope the snow stays away.
