I picked a marrow up in the supermarket today for 25p. I have absolutely no idea with it to do with it as I've never had it before. Any suggestions/recipes? I have a slow cooker if that's any help.Starting mortgage balance 22/04/2013 £71,250

My best advice would be don't bother - always found them a bit tasteless and watery.
Alternatively, stuffed marrow? This sort of thing, varied according to taste.

I'd fill with Bolognese sauce. If you fold it in half, will an Audi A4 fit in a Citroen C5?

Hi, If you google Marrow Cake, then All Receipes website should appear.
If you click on Cake receipes it should show there. I've tried to do a link for you but the website isn't responding
I've made this and its really nice. You only use a small slice of the marrow. But I've frozen the rest of my marrow and used further defrosted slices in the cake again.
As it was pointed out above, marrow is very watery so if you use a defrosted slice you need to squeeze it in a sieve to get rid of the water but then the marrow is fine to use in the cake.
Oh and the receipe states 1hr. It takes a good 1.1/4 hrs at least. Unfortunatly to check its cooked you need to open the oven door, which as we all know is too late then if its not cooked and the cake sinks. But its still cake and it tastes nice.
