Indeed. But not commission.0 -
Why leave it so long to claim? I know some sales staff can be pushy but no one forced you to sign for it.
I thought group sales staff are given guns to hold to customers heads to get them to accept. LolIm an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0 -
I fail to see how you could have qualified for an Advantage Gold account if you were unemployed and claiming JSA.0

Advantage Gold now appears to be an account in its own right. However, IIRC, previously Advantage Blue and Advantage Gold were simply preimum add-ons that could be added to any Natwest current account (including Step), that offered things such as mobile phone insurance discounts, etc.0 -

Even if that's correct I'm not sure how it would apply to the OP's situation, as they didn't have an account at all - it doesn't appear that they were offered a non-fee paying account with added facilities, the only account offered was the Advantage Gold.0 -

Advantage Gold as a standalone account seems to be a new thing from Natwest and I'm not sure it was around a few years ago. I suspect back then it would have been an add-on to another account. Even now it appears to be an add-on to their Select account.
Previously it was possible to open a new Basic Account and opt to have Advantage Blue or Advantage Gold as the same time. Although Basic Account users couldn't take advantage of all the extras.0 -

Is this what you think or guessing or is this how natwest are actually providing the AD gold account.0 -
You can upgrade to a Gold account if you already have a current account with Natwest, or if you are new to the bank you can opt for a standard current account with the Ad Gold added on too. It's part of compliance to ensure the customer is aware of all accounts.Mortgage 1: May 2012 £90,000 April 2020: £47,000
