  • Hi folks. It is taking abot of getting used to, being back in the challenge. I keep forgeting to keep receipts or track my spending:mad:

Have stocked up the freezer full of milk and half price mince from lidl. No clue how much I have spent this month so far as the money hasn't been in its usual neat wee pots due to me having to close my offset account and transer it all into my current account until I get a new ISA sorted.

Will track from today. Setting £55 for the rest of the month.

That is exactly the silly sort of thing I would do but what a great excuse to have banana and toast and lots of hot choc for tea! :)

Lunch today will be the last of the big pot of sweet corn chowder I made on Wednesday and for tea we are going to try Nigella's Mexican Lasagne which is basically wholemeal tortillas layered with veggies and pulses then covered in tomato sauce before baking - cheap, easy and healthy. :)
    GC June £78.50 / £250, May £262 / £250.
    Debt (excluding mortgage) April 2012 - £29388, May 2012 - £25588.
    Emergency Fund £0 / £1000.

Hi all, I haven't spent any of my grocery budget this week. We've been eating out of the freezer and pantry plus we had a meal out(different budget) . Very happy about this.

    Welcome to our newcomers.

Hugs to all who need one.

Popped to Aldi to get a few bits of F&V for the week ahead - I really didn't need anything else and couldn't justify spending any more. Good job really as its the weekend before payday;)
So, £2.40 spent and added to the total.

  • So glad I got back on this, having plugged all the bits into Tesco website and with what we have in the flat already, I think I may be able to get next week's shopping for less than £15!

Been doing loads of baking too, not sure the waistline will be too happy though! Haha!
