I have a spend of £2 by Mr F to add to sig plus more when I get receipts out of my handbag/suitcase. My friend had bought me goodies - bargains from her local mini market. Then we went there on Saturday - so I spent money!
Last night we had gammon in batter, roast potatoes, roast parsnips, carrot, cauliflower, leeks and gravy for dinner.
Ah you are back, I have been dying to hear about your crafting,
how did it go and any pics.Slimming World at target0 -
Hi, I went away to stay with my craft friend on Thursday. I came home yesterday.
We went to a class with Lisa Baker on Friday – she has had cards published in magazines. I went to her class when I was staying with P.. in February. The June class was decorating a wooden mirror frame using a brayer and Lavinia stamps. We had a lovely time – another craft friend M...... drives us there as it is in a village near Maidstone and difficult to get to.
On Saturday we just popped to a near by mini market that has really good bargains – I wanted to get some yarn for my Sister but they were out of stock of pale blue. After lunch we did some crafting – I spent ages colouring in a Sarah Kay stamped image with Cosmic Watercolour paints. I will matt and layer it on to a card.
Sunday the three of us were off to a day workshop with Paul Church in Rochester – he works with Barbara Gray formerly Santerelli. Paul is also a regular demonstrator on Create & Craft. Again we used a brayer but this time the Clarity stamps. We also used Flitter Glue and Mica flakes. Also DS adhesive sheets with acetate.
I learnt a lot at both workshops. I had bought a brayer years ago but never used it – I will now! I felt more confident with the brayer on the second go at it – as always – practice is what is needed to do new techniques. The Paul Church day was a technique workshop where we produced pieces of artwork that can be made into cards later.
Photos will be posted as soon as I am unpacked and settled back home.
Paul Church is doing another workshop in August so we have booked for that – unfortunately – it means I will be away for my Wedding Anniversary.

Well, I'm back from Mr S and managed to spend a grand total of £21. Within that I got enough dog food for the next 2 weeks, bits and pieces for visitors (coffee, milk, sugar, biscuits, desserts, strawberries etc), a saag aloo and rice for tea tonight and a few things for the week.
That takes me up to £45 for the month so far - hopefully next week will only be F&V and so a small spend.
If I'm to get anywhere near my budget it will have to be!0 -

Florenceem wrote: »Re slicing HM bread - you could invest in a slicing machine. I just make sure my bread knife is sharp - resharpen as I cut the loaf as well. Let the sharp knife do the work - my Dear Dad always told me that - relax your hand. hth.
I have an electric meat slicer, why didn't i think of that.
thanks

Hi I'm not doing very well this month so far £238.35 for 2 weeks out of £400 for 5 weeks . We seem to have been entertaining quite a lot in the last couple of weeks. Order from Asda due today will also be quite a bit as I (nearly) emptied my freezer to defrost it so need to stock it back up again. Never mind, I'll have to be especially frugal for the rest of the month
