Sun: out for lunch with in-laws
Mon: sweetcorn fritters, new spuds and veg
Tue: cottage pie and veg
Wed: jacket spuds with beans and cheese
Thurs: homemade pizza with salad
Fri: lentil dhal with green peppers and naan bread

Should be a fairly cheapish shop based on the above. I've also covered breakfasts and packed lunches for x 3 people in the above. One has school breakfast and lunch.MFW Challenge 2019 - £2,420 / £2,420 - 100% :T0 -
How's the meal planning going?? Looks scrummy.
No OPs for me today..a Tilly Tidy of the princely sum of 23p though the day before :rotfl: ...but have made some sales...thank goodness. Have revised the January sales income target down to £100 (by making savings to other pots on YNAB) which now looks achievableMFiT-T4 Member No. 96 - 2022 is my MF goal

Hi MM, just caught up with your diary - what a journey you have been on. You have done so well, loved reading about all your escapades. Am deffo going to try the Tilly Tidies once we have online mortgage account. Was reviewing Cash Isa rates earlier this evening, but got completely distracting reading through your diary lol Thanks for all the inspiration.Starting Mortgage 01.08.08 £171,209.24. Hi Brizzle and Chumpy. Thanks for dropping by. Meal plans all going well - haven't run out of anything yet at any rate!
Chumpy - sorry for distracting you. Hope you get the isa rates sorted.
Brizzle - 23p TillyTidy - good going! All those pennies really do add up.
Dramatic emergency vet trip with distraught dear friend and her cat tonight. Poor things the pair of them. Glad I could be there for both of them. Feel almost guilty that I'm sitting here now with JellyButt on my lap.

Another weekend - yippee! First time since December that we aren't seeing family for a birthday celebration. Lovely and chilled.
Supermarket sweep this morning. Meal plan changed slightly one evening last week so a bit of rejigging means the pizza is tonight. Rest of week looks like:
Sat: homemade pizza
Sun: Roast chook and veg
Mon: Leftover chicken risotto
Tue: Spag bol
Wed: Jacket spuds with cheese and beans
Thu: Bean chilli and rice
Fri: Sausages, new potatoes and veg
All budgets on target. Will be able to add the leftover grocery budget to the savings and OP pots (50/50 split).

Ebay item sold for £16.00. Was a DD coat that she'd outgrown. Bought her a new one for £24 in the sale so an actual spend of £8 for a coat. Money for that from clothing pot.
Tilly Tidy pot reached a round pound today so that's been sent as a mortgage OP. Also dug out a bag of 2p's from the jar so they'll be paid in tomorrow and that'll be another £1 off the mortgage. So far this month in Tilly Tidies and coppers alone I have managed £20 to OP. None to shoddy. Big OP payment goes out on 22nd of the month.
Log burner on. Roast chicken in oven. All nice and toasty.MFW Challenge 2019 - £2,420 / £2,420 - 100% :T0 -
Sounds good. Dinner at your place eh??
Glad to hear the TTs are going well. I can't send less than £100 to the mortgage account so have to save them up for quite a while or do a big payment. Great discipline though..

Ooh Brizzle. £100 at a time eh? That keeps you focused. I swear my bank will pull the option to OP any amount I fancy once they get fed up of seeing the odd pound here and there trickling in!

Pay rise! Oh yeah. Over the moon as have worked really hard these last 6 months and achieved loads that my predecessor hadn't got round to / couldn't be bothered with.
Should be £105 extra each month. Will wait and see if I've calculated the salary exchange pension contribution correctly before adding it to the spreadsheet and OP'ing / saving it.
Day off today. Blood test in a mo (annual check on thyroid levels so nothing scary), bit of housework and then lunch with dear friends.MFW Challenge 2019 - £2,420 / £2,420 - 100% :T0 -
Pennies pot just reached £3 so have OP'd. £23 in Tilly Tidies and interest bits so far this month. Tomorrow will be big OP. Think am going for £525 which added to pennies op'd already gives a total of £548 for Jan. Will declare properly tomorrow evening.MFW Challenge 2019 - £2,420 / £2,420 - 100% :T0
