Good to hear both you and your mum are doing much betterGoals:
Goal 1:
Buy a house in 2025 (in the process)
LISA £30,000
House costs £15,000
Goal 2:
Be mortgage free ASAP0 -
Hello world. Well I have spent the morning ironing all the washing I did yesterday
not fun but wardrobes, drawers etc are now all full to bursting
.
Paid £37 to my overdraft today. That's the £35 from my cleaning job and a wee £2 tidy up in my account. This means I have £105 in cash. I need £25 for a gift, £40 I owe daughter so will then have £40. I need to get felt for my summer house roof and DD and I will get that fitted ASAP as it is ripped and water is getting into it. I might see if I have enough to get some creosote too and get DS involved in getting fences and summer house painted. They didn't get done last year so really looking shabby now.
DS is away on a trip next week but other than some goodies and a fiver emergency cash no spends required there.I get paid on Thursday and it's not my turn to take the car next week so will not need petrol. I can maybe use my child benefit and tax credits next week to make my target. At the moment I need to pay £50 minimum or else my DFD will rise by 1 month and I don't want that to happen.
I had a chat with DD yesterday regarding money. She will be working all summer and I have told her that she has to start paying her own phone and we will see about getting it into her own name. I think this is important as it will help her to build a credit rating for the future. She awears she will never have creidt anyway but I reminded her that she will need it one day for a mortgage. I pay £12 per month towards her phone so I will not need to pay that as soon as we get it transferred over. Also I had been paying part of her car insurance and I have told her I will do it this month but then she needs to do it herself. I then said I wanted some money for her keep. I think she is shell shocked :rotfl:but tough. No free rides in this house unfortunately.
So I'm not going into my mum's today as I will be in on Saturday and Sunday nearly all day and needed today to get my own life in order. Going to chill for a while in the sun this afternoon with DD and may do some weeding and get DS to cut the grass later. Have a nice day everyone xx5 Year plan. Good Morning world and Isn't it glorious having this weather
. Yesterday was a busy wee day. Worked at cleaning job in the morning with DD, spent all afternoon and into the evening with mum and then had to go back into mum's as her headphones for her telly weren't working. So I didn't really settle down until about 9.30pm. Mum wasn't as good yesterday which was disappointing as she had been doing well on Thursday and was upbeat. I'll see how she's getting on today when I'm in.
My grocery budget for the year was £3k but I've already spent over half of that . There are probably a few things I can cut out of that but we really are not extravagant. DS going away for 4 days this week so that should save me a fortune as he is like a termite just now :rotfl:.If I can find the energy and the courage I may tackle his bedroom in his absence. He has a blue fit if I go near it when he is here.
I need to go and tidy up this hovel as it is getting just too bad now to be comfortable. Have a great day everyone enjoying the sun5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Hi folks. Just sat on my bum and been on the go since 8.30am . Did some washing then cleaned lounge and kitchen ( no mean feat I tell you) DD took DS on his paper round as when he tried to do it yesterday a local ned threatened him and he was scared to go by himself. People like that should not be allowed to co-exist with decent people. There was my son trying to earn some pocket money and was told he was going to get battered. I mean :mad:. Let them try. My son may be a wee geeky type person but I'm not. Anyway I have decided that I no longer wnat him to do the paper round as it is just not worth it. The area he delivers in is like Beirut and I just worry whenever he is out. He will come and work with DD and I at the cleaning job we do and the woman we work for says she will pay him for changing the beds in the house she does as she hates doing it. I'll be happier with that and he will earn every week rather than once per month.
I then went to Morrisons and got some shopping for mum and some goodies for DS for his school residential this week. Then went to mum's and god love her she is totally exhausted in this heat. Cooked dinner for 7 of us and got home after 7pm. Took washing in and tidied out some of the junk from under my stairs. I have a few bags of clothes for the local shop that buys them from you so I will get them up there ASAP and get rid of them once and for all as I just have no time to e-bay and recently the prices from e-bay have been pretty rubbish anyway. Then I will put the cash towards DS's spending money for France which is in just 3 weeks. Lucky beggar . I wish it was me as they are visiting so many cool places that I would appreciate so much more than he will :rotfl:. Cannes, Nice, Monaco, St Tropez to name a few places.
Anyway I have spent £21 today and failed to find the time to get the roof felt I wanted but Homebase have a 20% off next weekend so I will just wait until then and go. I'm going to get DS's euros this week and then I will get the money back from him as people give him it. He has about £100 saved in my mum's just now but he is to take 200 euros to spend and some sterling money for the airport and on the plane. Be about £200 in total . Still some clothes to pick up for him as well . Nice skint June then for us no doubt as going to be a day short in wages too due to striking . Good time to start my diet again I reckon :rotfl:
I hope you are all well. I'm back at work tomorrow and hoping I cope. I'm sure I will5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Im having a skint june too, join the club!Trying to shift that debt!0 -
Evening all. That's DS away for a few days. I miss him already
. Very quiet here. Cost me about £20 all in all for his trip which was for goodies and a few pounds spends.
I'm spending way too much on lunches and breaks just now . I have spent about £60 this month just on my lunches so that is just not good.I could be just about at my monthly target with that as I have paid off £50 today. This leaves me £54 to find by end of month and my target will be reached. I'm going to manage it so I am really pleased with that. I'll just pay it on Thursday when I get paid. That keeps me on track.
Cleaning 2 houses on Saturday so that will be £50 for me but that will start off next months £630 target. I am more than half way to paying off my overdraft so hopefully it'll have gone by end of June. That'll save me £20 per month.
DD has got an interview for the apprentice job she put in for . Very exciting stuff as if she gets that then she can do the HND as well as serve her time. Fingers crossed folks.

Well that's me off work for 2 weeks. Doc has given me a medical certificate. I thought he may have given me a wee tablet for anxiety but offered me diazepam or valium and I thanked him very much but declined. I would be addicted before I knew it
so I'll just not bother. I'll take the 2 weeks out though as I reckon that'll do me the world of good. Then I'll go back to the stress of an oral warning for being sick . Hey ho!!
I bought myself 2 tops and a pair of cropped trousers today as I am really struggling for summer clothes. The bill should have been £35 but got it all for £21.50. Shop had offers on and also 20% off today. I do love a bargain. Quite an achievement to be able to buy this the day before payday
.
Still need to get DS socks and a couple of things for his trip to France. I will get them this weekend and then I will know where I stand as far as money is concerned for the rest of the month. In fact I know where I stand I'm F*cked :rotfl:.5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60
