Travelodge not responding to emails

  • After spending nearly a week trying to talk to customer services at travelodge and emailing to no avail, I put a comment on their facebook page and got an instant reply, be it from a bear 'Mr sleep', within 3working days somebody phoned me and my issue was sorted and I got a full refund. Talking to a bear is a bit surreal but it got the job done.
  • Having read through most of this thread I just wanted to say that I,ve never had a problem with Travelodge, have stayed in three in Edinburgh and one in Aberdeen, two of the Edinburgh ones were recently opened as was the one in Aberdeen but the first one we stayed at in Edinburgh was a converted house so quite old but was just as clean as the new ones.

The staff in all of them were friendly and helpful so it seems that not all Travelodges are the same.

Perhaps a thread should be started on here with a list of the good and bad ones, it would be helpful for myself and my DH as we couldn't afford to go away a couple of times a year if it wasn't for the cheap prices that we get at Travelodge.
Paid off so far Natwest overdraft £1900 Kays catalogue £200 Personal Loan £2500 Tax Credit £1300 J D Williams

  • Having stayed at a fair few Travelodges, I can't say I've had a bad experience. It helps to remember the price paid and tailor your expectations accordingly (I usually go for the sales and have paid between £10-£22 per night for a family room for 2 adults & 2 kids). We've done city breaks that would have been too expensive otherwise so I'm very happy with the locations and service of the following:
    Cardiff (bay area)
    Chiswick
    The Wirral
    Canary Wharf
    Crewe area (J16 M6)
    Reading M4

Got £10 bookings for half term for Bristol Portishead (new one) so looking forward to that - we usually take an extra pillow of our own each just in case as sometimes they've been short.

I am however trying to get hold of a printed map/brochure for my mum who doesn't use a computer but customer services are a bit difficult as the link on the 'contact us' page never goes live

Our Bethnal Green stay was pleasant although the air con didn't work and the room was boiling. in contrast our Glasgow stay was awful. It was a dirty room with a sticky floor!
No you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one!
