I can only assume this has come down to value, perhaps worth less as a 2 bed? Worth less than what they were told?
Who knows. You could divvy up rooms into as many rooms as you wanted, I'd still prefer a 3 bed with large rooms over a 10 bed with titchy ones!0 -
Thank you everyone. I am not explaining this right. I will have to talk to the person that informed me of these things last week which i should have been told by them/others involved when these sort of questions were asked. No more answers are needed, thank you once again
You lived in the house, took advantage of buying it at a discounted price?
The smaller 3rd bedroom sufficed as a nursery/bedroom?
The doors are cheap, council installed sapele doors not fire doors?
You opted to buy the property because mortgage payments were lower that the rental payments?
Are you upset that you took advantage of The Right To Buy scheme but have not maintained/upgraded the property, and are seeing council/HA properties in your area being upgraded?
I don't understand why your family's safety is compromised whilst living in your home. Can you clarify that?
Like I said: I'm confused.I'm not that way reclined
Jewelry? Seriously? Sheldon you are the most shallow, self-centered person I have ever met. Do you really think that another transparently-manipu... OH, IT'S A TIARA! A tiara; I have a tiara! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me!0 -
OP, to be quite honest, if you mention this to someone in actual words tomorrow you are going to make an absolute fool of yourself.
You will be a laughing stock.
Havent you done enough of that one here.
I would just get on with your life..................make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
My bedroom as a kid, through my teenage years, was 6 foot 3, by 6 foot. Even if I'd wanted to, i wouldn't have been able to turn the bed the opposite way round. For comparisons, sake, I'm 6 foot 2. The house I've just bought has a third room approx 6 foot 7 by 7 foot 2. Any child of mine that wants to complain will be told what I had and to be grateful for the extra space :rotfl:0

Bossworld, but watch out, YOU might complain when you realise in 15 years
OP, I think your daughter should consider suing you. Get her to ask your friend, who spoke to you about this. Poor thing, you forced her to stay in a small bedroom, in a wardrobe, with a folding door...0 -
I have a feeling that legal room sizes were abolished in the 60s or 70s - when we were looking for this house we found many modern ones had a small "bedroom" which were too small for a full size bed but the older ones never had this problemproud gran to 4 lovely boys and one little girl0

I had a bedroom in a loft space that you couldn't stand up in and was reached by a ladder and had no door and the mattress took up most of the floor. But it was my space and meant I didn't have to share with my brother. It was great.Been away for a while.0

But you were taking quite a risk sleeping up there if there had been a fire downstairs.0
