  • Typical - I actually get ready to MAKE A PURCHASE but have missed the boat with the M&S one of course!..

Most tempted by the above thread as 35% off would have been VERY handy , but not going to go ahead WITHOUT the original 20% off which is a pity but looks like my search continues

It doesn't quite work like that you can't add % off
    i.e £100 shop with 30% off is £70

£100 shop with 20% off is £80 then you remove the extra 10% for a total of £72

still a great deal though and I have stocked up on fancy polos for my dd

I know it doesn't normally work like that but I was just letting everyone know that for this deal it was working like that. I made an order and got a full 30% off the original price. It's ended now anyway though.

For those that need to buy swim shorts for school, JJB sports have an offer on for two pairs of speedo water shorts (or £7.99 each) and they have a free delivery offer on at the moment for if you spend £10 or more.

  • Tesco had padded coats as part of their uniform bundles last year or maybe it was the year before. Think it was £20 and that got you socks, polos, coat, shoes and trousers/skirts.

Also check your local charity shops as you can often find coats and uniform bargains in there.

Sorry to have to mention it but I won't be buying 2nd hand clothing for my DGS - As a child who grew up in all her sisters hand me downs which was bad enough and who got teased ROTTEN for not having new shoes one September when everyone else DID I prefer to see my DGS go back to school in a brand new outfit from top to toe and uniform IS affordable now ( the non specific to the school stuff ) so I want him to feel good about himself AND it is part of the pleasure for me , seeing him kitted out in his brand new uniform each year! :D

I can understand why you would want to buy new but I meant I have bought the uniform bundles as it was cheaper and given the excess bits still with tags on into our local charity shops. Last year I put some a boys coat and some shirts.

You were a lucky one then cos i had brothers hand me downs:rotfl: and i too got teased. This alone is the reason i dont buy my children secondhand clothes and i too think that uniforms are pretty cheap especially in supermarkets:)

Thanks for clearing that up - I didn't realise you can get brand new uniform in charity shops...

Am just after some leather shoes & a warm padded navy coat

Got plenty of time though as like I said it all seems to go rock bottom the closer to September you get though maybe have to be lucky with the sizes then?? I am just going to keep my eyes open & check this thread and not panic! LOL
