We've got so much of it, 6 takeaway boxes now, amazing how much you get once its grated.

Do you know how long I can freeze it for? We're not big cheese eaters.
  • Until you need it!, won't go off in the freezer, will be slightly more crumblier when you take it out so best used to top dishes that are going in the oven.
Still fine for sandwiches etc just a slightly different texture.....or send it me... we eat more cheese in this house than you could ever imagine, have even been known to dip it in chocolate! yum xx lol
I will save my tesco £1 savings stamps this year! .......so far = £50 (full card#1)
Card #2 £6. I will not be skint at Chistmas this year!

    Total £56
  • when its on special ( buy 1 get 2 free ) I always stock up, grate and freeze. Its perfectly fine, great for cooking, sandwiches and this time of the year for dips. I use zip top bags and just take it out when needed.

I'm sure I heard somewhere once upon a time that you don't get "bad" mould growing on cheese. You shouldn't eat things like bread with mould on it but cheese moulds are all edible. I'd love to be able to identify my source to make it easier to check if that is true but I really can't remember!
