As you noticed it will be VERY frequent small ATM withdrawels, hopefully, and used for very little else. Possible max going on the card will be around £500 as he is staying all inclusive?
Yes, if you go via TopCashBack > Travelex > Globe Card, you'll get £2.50 back on the £500 load, giving you an effective rate of 0.99% off the Mastercard rate for any transaction within the initial load.
Any left over cash, can be withdrawn via an ATM in the UK at a cost of 99p or used for shopping for the same amount per transaction.
If you can use a Bank Transfer to top up to a withdraw-able amount + 99p, then consider that too. ie Top up to £50.99 and withdraw the £50.
Again, check with your bank that they won't charge you for the initial load via Debit card.0 -
When logging in to the Travelex site , in the My Account area it lists Current Balance then below shows transactions , then at the bottom it shows Pending transactions.
Can anyone tell me , does the current balance include the pending transactions ?
Been using it successfully for almost three weeks now but this is confusing me ???

Apologies... more questions! We are about to purchase the Cash Passport Globe. I will be paying for it for my 17yr old son. Unfortunatly the Cash Passport Globe card automatically fills in the 'Name' with the details of the person paying and it can't be changed. Photos of the card do not have a name! Can anyone confirm if the card has a 'name'. If it does we are back to the drawing board!

The card does not have a name. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

Another little thread hi-jack. Does the card have any minimum load? Had a Caxton fx and found it could only be loaded £100+ at a time which wasn't great.0

Brilliant. Thank you. Seems crazy as I have ordered many an item online for my older son who resides elsewhere and always been able to change name and delivery address. I expect it is all to do with 'money laundering' or something!
Sorry Lawpf2001, I can't ansewer your question as we are puting on more!0 -
Get it in your name + add a 2nd card for your son to use
However only the primary acc holder can top up.0 -
I think anybody can top up via debit card online using either card number..budgetflyer wrote: »Get it in your name + add a 2nd card for your son to use

Topping up will not be a problem! The only problem is it is coming out of my pocket first!0
