Right, the challenge to be completed for tomorrow evening is...
To get in a positive frame of mind
Think up 3 reasons why you would make a really good friend to someone0 -

Woohoo! I'm normal! Gotta go tell the cat.0 -
I would make a really good friend to someone because...
I am loyal and would do whatever I could to help someone out
I like to think up fun things to do (money permitting!)
I am a good listener and can keep a secret
Oh, and I make a mean banana loaf!
Off out to a meetup thing tonight at a pub in town. Have kept thinking of reasons why I shouldn't go today, but I am determined to make the effort!0 -
And I did make the effort and it was fun

I've been to 3 meetup "clubs" now, one of which has had several outings that have been excellent! Cinema, curries, dog walks. One of the groups have a few husband and wives looking to do more social stuff together - I think it's such a good way to get more out of life.
I mentioned these to my niece (23) last week - she's a very outgoing young lady with masses of friends, but new to London. She said it's now her favourite website - lots of things she's really interested in and has joined about 8 different clubs through it.0 -
I've had my eye on Meetup for a while. But my nearest groups are 25 miles away, and I'm always put off by that.
Maybe one day.........0 -
Set up your own group SueC

I am considering doing that for near where I live as I am travelling a way to get to things with the one I have joined. I just don't know how much time I want to invest in it at the moment0 -
Well, I went to my crochet lesson yesterday:j:j
There was the tutor, me and one other lady, so a nice small group. I really enjoyed it and can now do the basics at last BUT I had a panic attack when I was there??? Felt awful and didn't feel good for the rest of the day!
Anyway, going back next Tuesday and have also suggested to a FB friend, who lives in my town, that we start our own crochet/knitting group!! She's coming round tomorrow to discuss it and we'll see where we go from there

I am glad you are going back mumoftwins. It's not easy when you suffer with panic attacks.
Setting up your own group sounds like a good idea too
