The search on here is not working this weekend as they are upgrading the servers.
But seeing this thread reminded me to check amazon as I had bought a canon camera on 26th January for £215 which had been the cheapest anyway. There was a glitch that if you added a certain camera case for £12.91 it was free but when it was added to the basket it took off double the amount so 12.91 off the camera.
I checked the item listing about 20 minutes ago and the camera has gone down to £194 so I emailed them as listed above and got a reply within 5 minutes apologising and they have refunded me £21.20 which is the difference between the original item list price and the new price, they didnt take into account the 12.91 glitch, happy days.
I knew about this policy but thanks to the op of this thread for reminding me to check again0 -
Yeah thanks OP it was handy that you explained exactly what to do, and what to click on!0

Instead of you checking on Amazon everyday for 30 days - use www.priceprotectr.com - just enter in the Amazon URL for the item you have bought from them - enter the price you paid - and this site will check Amazon constantly to see if the price drops! If it does - you get an email, so you can chase Amazon for the difference! I have used this many times - and it has helped me claim over £20 back since Xmas.0

Its not working for me.
Is it for the US only as I see prices in $$I wanted to thankyou a million times but its a shame that I can press the button just once :T0 -
I have used this for the UK Amazon many times, however, I couldn't get it to work this morning. keep trying - as it does save all the hassle of constantly checking Amazon.0

Do a lot of Christmas shopping on Amazon so I'll buy in the middle of December. Then I'll check the prices after Christmas when 'must-have' books/CDs/DVDs drop in price!0

Just tried to get a refund cos the price of a DVD had dropped since I bought it but got a reply saying I couldn't as the order was placed with Indigostarfish (coming from Jersey)
"Please accept our apologies, but we are not able to adjust the price of an order in instances where the item is placed with Amazon's Preferred Merchant, Indigostarfish.com. Neither can we adjust the price of an item sold by any third party Marketplace seller, including Amazon's Preferred Merchant, Indigostarfish.com."
It was only £4 but still annoyed!0 -
You beat me to it, I've just tried the same thing. I've successfully claimed quite a bit back from them, but I didn't realise I couldn't get refunds on Indigostarfish items. Mine was £4 too (wasn't Stardust was it?):mad:Everybody dies, but not everyone truly lives0

No it was actually series 1 of Flight of the Conchords, and it was doubly annoying cos a few days ago they were selling it for around £4 cheaper anyway but I didn't order it in time! So I was really chuffed when I thought I could get the money back!0
