indian call centres

I heard today that Barclaycard - no doubt as result of only huge profits intend to move their call centre to India. Does anyone know of a credit card company where they have UK call centres so I can move to them

All MBNA issued cards are UK based, I've also always got through to a UK centre when calling Capital One.
    Dont know about the others.

LTSB are closing their call centre in Mumbai by end of the month.
Only 'back office' work will then go to India.

Morgan Stanley are Glasgow I believe which is a help if you want UK based call centres, but unhelpful if you want call centres based in England

EDIT: Nationwide seem to be UK AFAIK, but HSBC is India

MBNA use Irish call centres too.

Co-op have publically stated they have no intention of using offshore call centres. You do have to cope with Scouse, though .....

Better Scouse than "Andrew" from Mombassa......as a half-scouse I would say that, though.....

Or more accurately as the result of a 40% drop in profits... I'm sure you'd all stay in your jobs if you were offered a similar pay-cut?

Don't you think that it is better to move call centres overseas than the back office?

Back office has access to your entire credit card information.... and it is they who decides whether your credit application will be approved or not!

You can't be for sure know who has call centres overseas or not... many banks have some call centres in UK and some are in India.
