Do you fill the tank to a round Pound or a round Litre ?

Do it in the early hours whatever you do.0

Fill it up till the pump stops, rounding up doesn't really make any difference.0

I fill it up til it makes a round "CLUNK", then I come back 2-3 weeks later and do the same again.
With fuel costing around 15-20 pence per mile these days (assuming between 34 and 45mpg), I see it as more wasteful to keep driving to the petrol station every 2 or 3 days, than to simply stop ar5ing about and fill the tank.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

I fill it till its full.0

I fill it to the second click.
Given the detour to actually get to a petrol station for me, which costs fuel to actually get there as well as costing me time. It's better for me to go there as little as possible.
Oh and the filling up when it's cold thing is an urban myth and untrue. Modern UK petrol pumps are required to adjust for heat expansion.0 -
I always fill it to the first click, since I monitor fuel consumption on every tank this way (the trip computer in my car is way off).
When paying with a credit/debit card (as surely the vast majority of people do?) I don't really understand why anyone would faff around trying to get to either an integer number of pounds or litres?0 -
In ye olde days when I paid cash I filled to a round pound.
Now I pay by card and just fill till its full or I get bored (whichever is sooner).0 -

Well when I use a petrol station ive never used before, I always fill up to four matching digits, so for example £33.33, £44.44, £55.55, £66.66...... This is so that when I check my bank statements and see a strange transaction to an unknown recipient, I can immediately tell it was for fuel.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

Round to the highest pound. I have a budget for fuel per month and I try and stick to it.

Well that's certainly something I'd never thought of! Although I also don't think I've ever had a charge on my bank/credit card statement for a fuel payment I couldn't trace. (I record all transactions with personal finances software so whatever the amount is I'd spot it, but I realise most people don't do that.)0
